Well, I received stator, pick and new key switch asembly. I have great spark. Thanks to all whom responded.

NOW it Starts up with hesitation. Idles good , give a little gas it boggs down, back fires & dies instantly. Will start up after it back fires

DID I MESS WITH TIMING

It sounds like its running lean....what kind of carb you have? Air/Mixture screw and your idle screw, but you say it idles good, try the Air/Mixture one,but you have to warm up the engine and close it all the way, not to tight, you don't want to damage or brake it,slightly snugged, then turn it counterclockwise about 3/4 or 1  1 /4  turn then wait about one minute listen to the engine, you might have to play with that for a little until you get the adjustment you need...

It only back fires now, won't run..😩

Makes one hell of a boom..

Went to try to start to warm up,

Just a recap..

1st time I started it. I let it idle long enough to install front rack, rear fender & rack., while installing items I gave a little gas and it would still bog down . jumped on and went 50 ft before it just died. Try to start it and it back fires

Will fuel will cause a huge back fire..?

Ugh amazon carb.  No good. Replacement carbs should be oem! If you still have the oem carb then spend the money on a rebuild kit and rebuild it.   It’s not difficult and we will help you along.   If the stator and pick up coil were put in right which I’m  sure you did and no you can’t screw up the timing by doing what you did then my suspicions are the carb is the problem here.

Amazon has it and prob better off on eBay.   Look for the oem label when buying.   It’s worth it. You will rebuild the carb and set it up the bike will run great.  Just take a look on YouTube on rebuilding if your not familiar with the work and take your time. Clean work area.  I like to use a cheap white pillow case when doing a carburetor. Makes easy work when dealing with small parts on a white surface as well as seeing what comes out of the carb dirt wise .  Any questions you have we will help.  Post pics when your not sure and you will get pointed in the right direction.

Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.

My uncle bought a Baja 250, 2006. Knew there was no spark since the get go. He don't know anything about quads so is getting me to help him try to get it running...

battery is bad so I connected battery charger to it to crank it over , cranks over well , but no spark ....
Lights and everything work fine , but with each crank over using the e start switch , the display reads 999 888 777 666 ... Right down to 000 and repeats itself .

He managed to get a parts bike , I changed over the CDI and the coil and the stator from the parts bike and there was another black box by the voltage regulator I changed over ... I used my multimeter to confirm as much as I could works , it's hard without knowing which wires are which , and I cannot find any diagrams online for this bike ?

Do you think it could be the Killswitch? There's so many wires coming from there I don't know where to start . Also I should mention it appears the fan on the front of the bike has been taken off (the wires have been cut too )

If this bike sparked it would run . The previous owner said he parked it one day and it just wouldn't start after.

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

I have a 1988 Quadrunner 250 2wd. My brother in law sold it to my son for $20...had been sitting outside for several years. Got it home and had it running in about 30 mins. Ran it a bit and then went to looking at the carb as it was having trouble idling. Was getting it pretty close, then started losing spark...Also, it wouldn't start up every time...only about 1 in 5 tries. Anyway...now, it has what I can only describe as "intermittent" spark. I can get 1 light spark right when the start button is pressed and sometimes one when it's released...but none while cranking. 🤷‍♂️

I have replaced the spark plug, ignition coil/wire, and traced wires best I can. I noticed a couple frayed wires at the pickup coil where it enters the case. So, now I have the cover off, stator and pickup coil out and trying to test the coil. I do have about 114 ohms resistance for pickup best I can tell. And I can read minute voltage when I drag a magnet across it. Could it still be bad? Can a bad ignition switch/button cause this? (I did have the switch off to oil the choke cable)...pulling rope makes no difference though...any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!!! It's the intermittent part that's throwing me off!

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!
