I took my old carb back off, kind of a mess, I just cleaned this last week in ultrasonic cleaner, cleaned the tank out, cleaned the petcock, and put on new hoses. Im not sure where this white powdery stuff came from. The only thing I can think of is I sprayed some silicon based lubricant in the bowl and around the movable parts, maybe the gas caused the lubricant to break down. It was Tri- Flo won't use that again. Waiting on new carb to arrive.IMG_3664.thumb.jpg.24f7c20a2faaa0f7c29034ecbc0d60b9.jpg

I think this thread is done, got my no spark issue solved with the help of Eugen, Mech, 5200 and everyone else that has responded. When I get my new carb in I will start a new thread to continue with the revival of this neglected beast. Im having fun, so I must be doing it right, no pressure just going at my own pace. Thanks again for all the support.

Thanks for the replyKP I have seen it before also but didn’t think anything about it because the carbs were in really bad shape, but this one seemed cleaner before, I wonder if it has something to do with the heat or soap I use in the ultrasonic cleaner, I don’t use really harsh chemicals unless the carb is really bad with dried varnish on the inside and I only used dish soap on this one

So I have an 89 Yamaha moto 4 250cc and when I ride it, itll get hot after like 10-15 mins and then will just die and turn off.
It's has new carb rebuild, new air filter, new battery, new spark plug so I don't think it's a crack in the spark plug
      Can anyone help me?

Starting this build thread to keep up with everything on my build and hope to motivate someone!

I picked up this 2008 Yamaha Big Bear 250 2 weeks ago. A guy that I hunt with parked it at the hunt club for a year or so before I asked him if he wanted to sell. He said " fill my feeder and throw some batteries in my cameras, and you can have it". Sounds like a deal to me!
I have attached some pictures of how it sat under a tarp in the woods and when I got it home and cleaned up a little.

Hello, im looking for some input on this situation i have. My 94 Mojave has no spark, and i have no idea what it is. Ive replaced/tested the magneto, the pickup coil, cdi, the ignition coil. Even the key and Killswitch. I haven't tested the harness its self, but i have tried another harness and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is the fly wheel itself. I have found a lot of metal shavings in the fly wheel and have cleaned it the best I could. But nothing happened afterwards. I am truly stumped here and hoping some of yous could shed some knowledge/ideas that could help get this thing to fire.
