I have a 2008 Suzuki 400. I'm just a beginner, but LOVE it! I have been practicing out at Prairie City and last weekend I went to Mammoth Bar. I rode on the track, but I love to ride on the trails. What about you?

It was fun. The trail I went one wasn't bad, but I didn't go on very many others because I was with someone that rides a dirt bike, so we couldn't ride the same things. But it's so beautiful out there.

Cool, thanks. Yes please keep me posted. Is the riding hard there? I wouldn't want to slow anyone down. :) Are there any other girls going?

Welcome to the site, even if you are the slowest in the group or just a beginner, 100% of the riders I know will wait at any difficult spots to help you through or will wait at any spot that you might get heading the wrong way. If a rider doesn't do what they can to help out any beginner, not just a female, they are a chump in my book. I could care less if someone was riding 10mph with me, I will hang and give pointers along with confidence boosters. Keep on riding, speed comes with time. Be safe.

There is a nice mix of trails there. Plenty to ride for a beginner. There would be a group of 4 or more familes ranging in age from 6 to 46, and yes, some are girls.

I feel sooooo Left out.....:frown:

Welcome Lindsey!!!!

If I recall correctly, the last time I invited you on a ride the response I got was "I don't ride dirt, for I am the SAND WIZARD!"

Of course you're invited. If you think you can handle ya know dirt and rocks and trees and stuff.

OK then, there is a living Neanderthal ! the assault against me should be redirected to another now eh?

So you guys on the thread know, I have a couple guys chasing me telling me I'm old. so when you mentioned 70 I HAD to jump on it! We old farts CREATED this activity and BUILT the machines... we deserve respect and sacrifices and donations from these yapping youngsters!. Give it a few minutes, they'll be here! all in fun- I know where they BOTH live so going too far for them is not an option they should take......

Pulled my '86 Moto4 out of shed where it sat for 20 years. I knew it smoked. checked it over a little put in gas and it fired right up!!
Drove about 100 yards, ran about half throttle wouldn't idle.  Put on somenew parts, jug/piston and rings, carb and valve seals.
'went together ok, tuned it over by hand about 6 revs whick went well. Hit the starter it fired for about 6 revs and quit. tried it again fired once and then th sound of something slipping like maybe chain slipping over spoket.
Took cover off to watch cam sproket, hit starter again, heard same noise and the cam sproket was not turning but jumping a bit. Chain was still tight. You will probably tell me I need to split the lower case but hoping there mightbe something else.
I don't fully understand the chain tightener, the plunger only moves about 1/4 inch, should it move much more than that when off the motor and compressing it by hand?
      Thanks for any thoughts.
