Glad you could make it here Mike. Hey, I gotta ask, what is railfanning? (I hope it isnt' a dumb question)

Railfanning is watching or photographing running trains. Can be anything from historical ones (like steamtown's trains) to modern day locomotives.

Here are two pictures of the tracks by my house, all I had was my crappy cell phone camera but this is a pair of ex-Delaware & Hudson's RS-3 units that are still in use by the regional railroad (Delaware-Lackawanna) These units are actually considered historical and the railroad now owns FOUR of them and all are in active use. The engineer saw me and revved the engine to blow this puff of smoke.

I have an original 1942 lionell set sitting in my garage, so many locomotives and enough track to fill a basement, houses and stuff, but it off me :D lol

I did a around the wall layout with my Lionel Train set. I mounted it 12 inches below the ceiling in my living room. One side as a passing siding, the opposing side has a spur track to switch equipment. Eventually I plan to have it exit the living room and run through the kitchen area.

Starting this build thread to keep up with everything on my build and hope to motivate someone!

I picked up this 2008 Yamaha Big Bear 250 2 weeks ago. A guy that I hunt with parked it at the hunt club for a year or so before I asked him if he wanted to sell. He said " fill my feeder and throw some batteries in my cameras, and you can have it". Sounds like a deal to me!
I have attached some pictures of how it sat under a tarp in the woods and when I got it home and cleaned up a little.

Hello, im looking for some input on this situation i have. My 94 Mojave has no spark, and i have no idea what it is. Ive replaced/tested the magneto, the pickup coil, cdi, the ignition coil. Even the key and Killswitch. I haven't tested the harness its self, but i have tried another harness and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is the fly wheel itself. I have found a lot of metal shavings in the fly wheel and have cleaned it the best I could. But nothing happened afterwards. I am truly stumped here and hoping some of yous could shed some knowledge/ideas that could help get this thing to fire.

My uncle bought a Baja 250, 2006. Knew there was no spark since the get go. He don't know anything about quads so is getting me to help him try to get it running...

battery is bad so I connected battery charger to it to crank it over , cranks over well , but no spark ....
Lights and everything work fine , but with each crank over using the e start switch , the display reads 999 888 777 666 ... Right down to 000 and repeats itself .

He managed to get a parts bike , I changed over the CDI and the coil and the stator from the parts bike and there was another black box by the voltage regulator I changed over ... I used my multimeter to confirm as much as I could works , it's hard without knowing which wires are which , and I cannot find any diagrams online for this bike ?

Do you think it could be the Killswitch? There's so many wires coming from there I don't know where to start . Also I should mention it appears the fan on the front of the bike has been taken off (the wires have been cut too )

If this bike sparked it would run . The previous owner said he parked it one day and it just wouldn't start after.

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.
