fixed leaky caliper on 650 arctic cat 05 4x4. it is auxillary caliper on rear wheel. after putting caliper back on, i cant get the caliper to suck in any fluid so i can even start to bleed the brakes. took line off at the master cylinder tried to pour some fluid in the master cylinder itself, no luck. its like it is vapor locked or stopped up someway. any help greatly appreciated, thanks patrick

I'm no expert, but I have some background in automotive. I'd suggest leaving the cap off of the master and opening the bleeder. That will allow the air to "burp" it's way UP........a quick cycle of the brake handle may help it if it's doing nothing. It should self bleed with the bleeder open and a constant supply of fluid. I may be totallly wrong, but the fluid dynamics still apply. I've seen some situations when the caliper has to be bled while it's above the master resevoir, but that was on a snowmobile.

I agree, try letting it gravity bleed.

Missed this one. Have you had any luck? I use a meat injector syringe thingy attatched to a piece of small diameter fuel or vacuum hose and slip it over the bleeder bolt. Then, as I draw on the syringe plunger, I crack the bleeder bolt and let the vacuum suck fluid into the caliper.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.
