Yup ... another video from Gunny ... get use to it, winter is coming & then I'll be posting even more ... :comp10:

Went for a ride last Tuesday .... the weather was great ... windy, cold, rain, sleet, a little snow, sun, mud ... no bugs, ... more people than I figured, but it is the Elk Season ... so .... but all & all, it was a great day !! woot.gif

Just put a little video together so ya could see what a great time I had while you were at work ...... OOPS ... I didn't mean to rub it in ............. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!! .............. wacked.gif

Ya know, it's great to get out in the middle of the week to go for a ride .......... thumb.gif .......... rofl.gif

Make sure ya change the vid to 720p when ya view it ... it'll look a LOT better !!

Yeah, I drove slow a lot that day cause it was just so dang purty up there !! :drivingc:

Mr.Gunny sir what camera do you use for recording your videos? They always look great!

Dude ... what are you try'in to do ?? .... Piss Me Right The %^$# Off or what ?? :aargh:

First you call me "Mr." ... and then "Sir" .... dude ... that's just downright hurtful !! :prod:

However, to answer your question ... Mr. Insensitive Sir .... I'm using the Drift Stealth HD 170 camera ... I have two of the little buggers. They seem to be pretty good cameras so far too. :cheer:

      Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
      Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
      I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

      I took this video back in 2007. Recently the trail (old railroad grade) I was riding was converted into a walking trail (obviously no more ATV riding on it) 👎 I dug up this old video and put it together since it shows the entire section and what it used to look like. The quality of the video is lacking, but this was from 18 years ago. Image stabilization didn't exist back then so I wore the camera on my helmet. (mounted to the quad was useless with all the shaking) so there is some annoying frames of me looking around. I noted any historical items from the railroad in the video. There is a section where the railroad grade is wiped out due to erosion so I had to jump off it and ride an abandoned road for a section to get around it.

      Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years. 
      He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year. 
      I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days 
      But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
      So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing) 
      Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20% 
      I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle

      So now this "new to me" Kowhockey has ANOTHER problem. Replacing the rectifier cured the charging problem, rode around for a while, Yahoo!.. but this morning it wouldn't start, hmm 🤔 checking for spark, nuttin.. CDI igniter module bad. It's not the coil because when the key is turned off the spark knocks me down. Glad I got this old quad cheap because I'm replacing lots of electrical parts. Also found 3 blown fuses in the toolkit. 😭

      I don't know if I shouldn't have posted but I this is my second post on this (other was in regionals Forum)  The family has a 2-up 2004 Artic Cat and a 2003 Polaris Sportman and we are looking for fun/easy rides in the Colville, WA area- 70 Miles North of Spokane WA, we have a small trailer we can haul these with but need to find some good areas for beginner.

      Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
