2006 Polaris Sportman 500 4x4 EFI Engine Stalls

Recommended Posts

i have a 06 sportsman 500x2 efi that did the same thing several times .. an the dealer said that the throttle cable needed 2 be adjusted slightly to take care of it ... they said that it would do it more in cold weather and be more noticable in the cold ... they said i could adjust the cable a little or adjust the throttle position senser slightly 2 take care of it ... i dont remember what they said to set the idle at but you should be able to find that out from the dealer or from your owners manual or a service manual... i would also run some injector cleaner and some good hi octain fuel throught it ...

it can be moved slightly on the bolts that mount it ... but you will have to have the dash on the tach setting and adjust it to set the idle speed to the factory setting to get it to idle properly... the tps has a spring in it that gets weak with use and can cause the problem ... it can be adjusted to take up the slack from the spring being worn.. but the tps will need replaced eventually .... you can also adjust the throttle cable to take up the slack also.... the vibrations that an atv experience are usually worse than an automobile and will cause the tps sensor to become out of adjustmen easyer than 1 on a car... and will cause the problem of it dieing like you are having ...

I'm repairing a 96 Timberwolf 2x4. Many years ago a dog chewed the wires that go from stator to the rectifier/regulator, and I've had to use the pull start ever since. Ive since lost the plug for the stator and on the wiring harness side. I'm ordering a new stator that will also come with the female plug that I need to fix it on the wiring harness side, but I have no clue in what position to put those 3 white wires(ones I'm holding with electrical tape on them) back into the new plug. Since they're all the same color, does it matter? Any info on this or pictures anyone has of their own will be very much appreciated.

I received an additional parts engine with a 220 Bayou I purchased, but I believe it's a couple years newer than the ATV, Is there a way to decode the engine serial number like we can with VIN numbers?

      Hello,
I have a 2022 Honda Rubicon and I have an issue where it won’t start, when I turn the key for power nothing lights up and it won’t start but the lights will turn on with the light switch, I’ve checked all fuses and they’re good, I don’t have a wiring schematic I’m not sure where to start, I checked the ignition fuse when I turn the key on and there’s no voltage there, I used a jumper wire from the batter to the top of the ignition fuse and then it works fine and starts fine but as soon as I turn the quad/key off it won’t start again until I jump the ignition fuse with battery power, just wondering if anyone could give me some tips where to go with this or if anyone has had the same issue, thank you.

2000 Suzuki will not fire. Fresh fuel, new plug, has 170 pounds of compression, super hot blue spark, won't even fire if you put fuel directly into the spark plug hole. Carburetor has been cleaned. Any ideas? Thank you...
