Horror Fans Helping Special Kids

Recommended Posts

I am involved with many things outside of ATV's. The Scares That Care Organization is a charity I try to help as much as I can. It was founded by a horror film director and raises money for sick kids. They have also teamed with Friday the 13th legend Kane Hodder to help children who are seriously burned. They have a special online donation day every Friday the 13th. The next and last one for this year is July 13th. Every $5 donation gets you in for some awesome prizes that include autographed books from rock legends Ace Frehley and Ozzy Osbourne, signed and used props from Kane Hodder, signed Vincent Price self portrait and more. I am inviting everyone to check out their Facebook page and join in on the Friday the 13th event. Thanks everyone.

What you are doing is much more than awesome! I hugely respect such people who can take care of others...

Thank you for your not being indifferent and of course, if I can help just let me know about it!

Thanks, I have a real soft spot for kids. I have a 17, 5 and 3 year old of my own and could not even imagine having something happen to them. I am a horror movie fan and when I saw this knew I had to help out. Their official website is Scares That Care

Good for you Wylde, seems as though alot of kids now days have it rough. Nice to see there really is still some good people in this world. to you.

Thanks jeeptuff, my kids mean the world to me and I am lucky enough for them to be happy and healthy. I know others are not so fortunate and the cost of medical care is insane. This is helping the parents to be able to get their children the help they need.

When I get in front of a PC I will join. Great cause Wylde, hats off to you.

If you are on Facebook you can look up the Friday the 13th online donation day there, if not the website has the phone number and paypal address there. Every $5 donation you make on Friday July 13th count towards 1 entry for the prizes. Only donations on the 13th count for the prizes. Thanks for checking it out. If you like horror movies and helping kids this is definately the place to be.

      Hi Guys!

New member and could really use your advice. I would have to believe this has been an issue for others but a search here came up with nothing......? (Probably me not doing search correctly)

      I have an 87 Big Bear 350 YFM350FWT
The OEM Mikuni BTM carb is shot and would rather replace than rebuild.
It is no longer made and I have had good luck with NICHE carbs so I ordered a #K-CRB-0006 This was what they said was replacement when ordered. This Carb only uses 1 Throttle cable. The Slide is linked so it uses one. (OEM had 2nd cable coming through top to move slide)

Problem is when I ordered a replacement Cable from NICHE (#C-CBL-0061) the Cable wire is a little short, not allowing Throttle to return all the way down to Idle position. I called NICHE and they are at a loss. Haven't gotten back to me after 2+ weeks.

What would you recommend other than a carb rebuild?
Can I just use 1 of the OEM cables (It is the right length) and snip/disconnect the other that went to top of Carb for Slide?
      Or ??

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!!

      Dave

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

      Hey all!
I'm on a mission to buy my first UTV soundbar as a gift for my dad(a newbie on ATV). I'm aiming for something that offers great sound quality without breaking the bank – my budget is around $250. Right now, I'm considering options like ecoxgear, kemimoto, and boss.
Does anyone have experience with these brands or specific models that you'd recommend? Any advice or suggestions would be super appreciated!
