I bought a 200x nt sure what year not running. All the wires from the engine to cdi to cdi box

To spark plug . Got it rigged up and now it has spark- i got it to fire twice yesterday for about 3-4 seconds each time. It has a diff style MIC carb on it. Its gettin gas to the bowl but from there i am not sure. From the carb back there is no air hose idk i that makes a difference or nt. i am lookin for the correct way to connect the ignition system. And does anyone knw were to get a 200x carb for cheap?

How is the right way to test if soark is strong enough? And how to see if fuel is makin it into engine. And wht kinda plug should i be usin? And does the open air hose make a difference?

I can see into the carb but how would i knw if gas is squirtin its nt fuel injected so wouldnt it use vaccum??And the soark is blue i held onto end while kickin it and it shocked me. When i kick it it sputters and shoots pressure out of the carb. Could it be getin to much air with straight ipen carb to engine??

Its a 200x trike- but the carb is off of something else according to the honda dealer . And i cant really see gas squirtin but a white haze in there every once in a while. It smells like gas while i kick it. An it putts once in a great while.. I have takin the carb completely apart and i cleaned every hole.

you need gas spark and air for a motor to run if u have spark make sure ur getting gas then check ur air box if ur getting all that its prolly electrical issue ur have and take it to ur local shop and have them test it it cost me 40.00 to do it

try the mpst stupid crap u can think of i had a 200 es with those its the stupid sh** that dont make it work... try some carb spray or starter fluid in the carb

Alright it has blue spark, it is getting fuel into the carb.... But still wont start up. Could the spark be too weak? If i hold hand over carb and kick

It my hand gets soaked with gas. The spark is blue but it is a little spark. And i found out the carb is a 30mm aftermarket.

My 1992 TRX00 recently stopped firing.  I understand this is a common problem. I have ordered an aftermarket CDI unit.    TJ

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey all, new to the forum! I just bought a 1998 Kawasaki bayou 300, 4x4 not running. Initially I found no spark. Ended up playing with the plug wire (made sure plug top and wiring was touching) and got spark yesterday and the quad fired up off ether. Come to work on it today and now no spark again. Before I got spark and now today if I touch the plug after cranking I get shocked, and it will spark after I release the starter button. I was jumping the quad with a freshly charged car battery that has 12v while cranking. Cleaned out the kill switch and ignition button. All looks good. Purchased new plugs. They're are a lot of wires cut/ disconnected. But shouldn't matter if I got spark without them connected...

      1989 Moto 4 YFM350ERW intermittent spark.
Quad has set for about 7 years and was running when parked.  When I replaced the battery and attempted to start it had no spark.

What I have done.  Followed troubleshooting in the manual.
      1.       Coil failed the resistance check so I replaced it.  Still no spark.
      2.       I performed resistance checks on the stator and they all pass.
      3.       Found a bad rear brake stop switch and unplugged it and connected the wires in order to disable.  Now I have intermittent spark.  I believe that the issue is with either the stator or CDI and not sure which.
1989 seems to be a transition year for electrical.  I can get new aftermarket CDI units for 87-88 and 90-94.  I cannot get ones for a 89.  I can get new stators for 87-89 and 90-95.  Looking at the schematics the wiring on my moto is closer to the 90 ones on the ATV side of the CDI and closer to the 87-88 on the stator side of the CDI.  Looking at part supply sources the stator housing is the same part # for all the years and looking at some of the stators on Amazon that have the dimensions on them both of the stators are the same size.
What I am thinking of doing is to replace the stator and CDI with a 90-95 one as these parts are all readily available.   Does anyone know if this has been tried before and if there are any issues with doing this.
As a side note I also have a 1993 Moto 4 YFM350ER that has been sitting longer but it is located about 400 miles from me at this time.  By doing this change in addition to being able to get parts I will also have 2 ATV’s that are the same electrically.
