Never seen one until today. I bought it at a auction. Ive seen plenty of 4x4 but not 2 appears to have suzuki motor. Belt drive. Just wantin to know if a good atv. No odo or hour meter. Tires are fair. Starts an runs jus dont have alot of power. Anything to lookout for on this model? Got it as a first atv for the wife an wantin a reliable ride for her. Thanks

So what your saying is you have a 04 2wd utility style quad with irs with a Suzuki motor maybe. Is the quad a Suzuki you said appears to have a Suzuki motor & it's a 400. Can you post pics of the quad. It's hard to say what to lookout for when you don't tells us what you have such as Suzuki king quad. Suzuki makes good quads just as Honda, Yamaha & Kawasaki but condition means alot. By your post your not sure what you have. A friend of mine bought a quad listed as a 2wd utility quad kawasaki when he took it to the dealer for work they told him it came as a 4wd and all the stuff had been removed & where the front shafts would go into the front huds had been blocked off. I would find the model & serial# and see what you can find out. You never know what people will throw togather and sale

Not sure on the Arctic cat I do know Suzuki used the Kawasaki V-Twin motor in the Twin Peaks. But I think AC did use Kawasaki motors too! Rather it's full blooded Suzuki or AC with Suzuki power if the over all condition of the quad is in good shape I would just check the plug, air filter, change the oil & depending on how it's running if needed look into cleaning the carb. Is the motor marked as being Suzuki?

It's me again found a 250 cat with irs so it turned out to be a better site than the Arctic cat site I was on did a little research 2004 Arctic cat 400 2x4 showed up & has the irs. It was a Suzuki build for Arctic cat it should be a good quad if it was taken care of when it comes right down to it some people can trash a new quad pretty quick & then you can find some older quads in better condition than a newer quad. You should be able to find reviews on line for your quad & just read thru them. Getting parts would be something to check into make sure their available.

thanks guy heres some pics. Evidently this atv is rare. Several dealers im in contact with daily say they didnt make but a handful 2wd. I finally got to ride it in slade an it performed great lotta mudholes other 2wd was gettin stuck i could drive right around them. No it doesnt have alotta power but it dont seem to hurt it any. The clearance is unreal! I havent heard anything bout this atv as far as reliability . Did suzuki build it? Hadnt heard that. It may be a great quad for the mrs to ride an being rare ill hang on to it. Plus the price of 250$ i gave not lookin bad.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

1st problem, Does anyone know where I can find a stock carb for my Timberwolf, I have tried two different aftermarket carbs and they both suck. The machine runs great until it gets good and warm, then it keeps stalling unless I feather the throttle. it will even stall while I'm trying to go from 1st to reverse or vise versa. I took it to a buddy of mine who is a bike mechanic for years, and he told me try to find a factory carb. When I look online from dealers it says "NOT AVAILABLE" anyone have any suggestions ?

2nd, The small tab on the rear axle for towing is to short for even pulling my small yard trailer, I can't even turn a little bit and hit hits. I tried making an extension which worked great as far as length, but it bends the tab and then the extension drags the ground. I have an idea of what to do to fix it, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and see how you solved it.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.
