  2. Gwbarm the stator looked ok has 1 slight scar or scuff on the contacts about 1/4 in long. My thing is that I like to fix stuff the right way preferably fixing or repairing it. Not Jerry rigged. I don't know crap about clutches or atv motors really.

  3. I looked up some older models and it seem that's standard yamaha for a long time.. Including the ones they state are AC.. They all have the 12v from the key though, and some system for detecting the starter's being used.. Most other pre-EFI makes and models don't use that.. I can guess why they do it, but I can't figure why nobody else seems to think they need it, or why yamaha think they do.. If there are any yamaha trained mechanics out there that know the reasoning behind that I'd love to hear it.

  5. Yes, you are right I have done it so many times taking the hard way to try and save money and end up spending almost the same, you would think after a while I would learn my lesson.

  6. You know Mech, everyone is trying to fix their problems with small amount of money...and is understandable.... but sometimes they don't understand that probably at the end they spend more that they thought of..... I'm glad I managed to find the problem... I'm pretty sure that the wire harness was the main problem....the pickup sensor was wrong fitted by the other guys. Thanks everyone for support! Greetings from România!
