  2. Seriously, i hoe you recover. i cannot imagine the pain. Good info however..... Probably a lot of people learned a lot from Jeffs problem as it unraveled during this Post. I know I did.

  3. Namura kits are cheap and work fine. You will want to rip apart the engine before you purchase parts. Measure the cylinder and check the head/valves for leaks

  4. Most likely the oil ring. You should rebuild top end, bore cylinder and use bigger piston.

  5. I have a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 I bought to use a Polaris plow with- it came with the plow and a winch attached to it (rebranded little warn), the wires from the ATV kept coming disconnected- so I bought a new old stock Polaris/Warn mount and did the same with a 2500 Warn- Was that a good idea? Or should I have gone with something like a Harbor Freight (I love to hate this company but some of their products are decent) Is there anyone else Out there I should have considered or was this my best choice- I've done a lot of "jeep" stuff but just getting into the quad thing a bit more. Thanks in advance.

  6. I think the Warn is my favorite, but i think the Badlands are very good , would not have a problem getting one of those.

  7. I live just north of you in BC, Canada and Polaris parts are really overpriced up here. I needed a steering knuckle for a Sportsman ATV and the price was over $600 Can but is only half that in US dealers. Too bad they don't sell across the border, rules forbid it (same as BRP). In the end I bought a used one from Power Sports Nation in Norfolk, NE which was around half of new $. Even with the dollar difference & shipping/taxes, etc. I was way ahead by using them. Highly recommended and their inventory is Huge!! Check out their website, excellent service. Hope this helps.

  9. A Constant Velocity (CV) carburetor works by using engine vacuum to control the opening of a throttle slide, which regulates the air-fuel mixture entering the engine. It has a diaphram attached to the slide instead of a cable.
