  1. All I can suggest at this point is to cdheck the timing again and make sure it is firing on TDC compre3ssion stroke and not TDC exhaust stroke. If the motor hyqas been disassembled and reassembled, you need to be sure both valve timigt and ignition timing aree right.. if it has compression , fuel and ignition it should run. It's amazing how easy to haqve a motor 180 degrees out of time and miss it even when checking again. Believe me , you wouldn't be the first to "check it twice" and be wrong both times. Don't ask How I know

  2. Well Mike you know I have a favorite Christmas poem. He was an American writer. Born in St Louis...I Love St Louis.. . I Had some serious parties in Corev Coeur ( Fr. Broken Heart) with a friend. The name was fitting unfortunately. The poem is somewhat dark for Christmas. But many are lonely and sad reflecting on the past at this time of Christmas. But I digress, The Journey of the Magi, by T.S Elliot A cold coming we had of it, Just the worst time of the year For a journey, and such a long journey: The ways deep and the weather sharp, The very dead of winter.’ And the camels galled, sorefooted, refractory, Lying down in the melting snow. There were times we regretted The summer palaces on slopes, the terraces, And the silken girls bringing sherbet. Then the camel men cursing and grumbling and running away, and wanting their liquor and women, And the night-fires going out, and the lack of shelters, And the cities hostile and the towns unfriendly And the villages dirty and charging high prices: A hard time we had of it. At the end we preferred to travel all night, Sleeping in snatches, With the voices singing in our ears, saying That this was all folly. Then at dawn we came down to a temperate valley, Wet, below the snow line, smelling of vegetation; With a running stream and a water-mill beating the darkness, And three trees on the low sky, And an old white horse galloped away in the meadow. Then we came to a tavern with vine-leaves over the lintel, Six hands at an open door dicing for pieces of silver, And feet kicking the empty wine-skins. But there was no information, and so we continued And arriving at evening, not a moment too soon Finding the place; it was (you might say) satisfactory. All this was a long time ago, I remember, And I would do it again, but set down This set down This: were we led all that way for Birth or Death? There was a Birth, certainly We had evidence and no doubt. I had seen birth and death, But had thought they were different; this Birth was Hard and bitter agony for us, like Death, our death. We returned to our places, these Kingdoms, But no longer at ease here, in the old dispensation, With an alien people clutching their gods. I should be glad of another death.

  4. We have definately turned into an automatic world, most kids coming up now do not even know how to operate a clutch and shifter. I prefer the 5 speed but i really like them both for different applications. I like the 5 speed because i can choose to shift if i want to like going up a hill you can decide do i really want to shift or wait untill im over the hill. The automatics are great for unexpierienced riders just get on and give it gas and go, not much else to think about except not falling off the machine. I also like winding out the gears a bit on the 5 speed to feel the awesome power of these machines. Automatics can be less troublesome no shift linkages to wear and trouble getting in and out of gear as the tranny ages, just replace the belt and you are good. The honda automatics are the best of both worlds. You can shift or let it shift and they are great, but very expensive to repair if problems arise.

  5. Interesting Lentils...My Italian cousin does them on New Years eve. We did Hassenpfeffer (mature rabbit with spices /pepper) during Christmas. My Jewish (German) friends do Figs...that's a Libido thing I think LOL. I fixed pork and Cabbage for them on New Years day. They loved that but were not supposed to eat pork. guess.
