  1. I hear ya, on pavement you know that if you make a wrong move you can high side that thng quick because of how well the tires grip.
  2. When I raced it was just trophy, as far as I know the only people that make REAL money are the pros. I've been in races and won like a $500 prize, but nothing crazy.
  3. I actually put a banner on myspace also! I wish I would have posted it first, then I would have been the cool one.
  4. Just giving you a hard time. I figured it was something like that.
  5. What is a RZR Rhino? They are two different machines.
  6. LOL, I didn't know ho they did it either! I had no idea about the quick link thing today.
  7. There is no dumb questions just dumb people who don't ask and wind up with a quad that doesn't run. Glasd to help.
  8. If it's not running wierd, You're good. Let it dry completely, take it for a nice long ride. No water! and see if it does it then.
  9. They say it's the perfect gear, but come on. How many times have you had a manual shifting quad at max rev climbing like a bat out of hell? An auto won't do that.
  10. ATV Rider has an article in their April 2008 issue on how to make your LT-R450 a mean race machine for under $2000. "The bottom line is that we weren't looking for glitz or bling:our main objective on this project was to maximize function at a low cost." That was their goal which I know is alot of privateer racers and new racers goal as well. So he is what they did: Race Tech Suspension = Reworked stock suspension $950 IMS/Roll = Pro-series nerf bars $199.95 Intimidator Series MX bumper $129.95 Big Gun Exhaust = M-80 power module $39.95 Quad Tech = Plastic Hood Scoop nosepiece $65 ITP Tire and Wheels = MXR6 10x6-10 front tires $71.95 ea. Front wheels $87.95 ea. MXR6 18x10-8 rear tires $66.95 ea. Rear beadlocks $145.95 ea. If you do the math it is actually alittle over 2000 but still great.
  11. It still rides fine just pulls to the right. Makes 70mph even more interesting!
  12. I do now! I guess I'm a little slow.
  13. Just watch your life's savings go away! Speaking of money, I bent a tie rod. I get to spend some! YAY
  14. I don't own one but I would like the luxury of not shifting but then at the same time on hills I like to be in control of the gears. So I voted Honda's auto.
  15. Congrats wheeler! Hey Trailblazer, you better watch the smack talk. Me and her got some pull now! J/K
  16. Sorry, T.B.! How about a rhino on 30" tires
  17. I like to keep mine set up for trails. I have no problem in sand or on the track. I have a set of paddles on some extra rims, that takes care of the sand. I don't feel the need to make my quad wider like most track riders do. IMO 2 strokes are the only true sand machine. The new quads do fine but you gotta have the ring ding ding sound!
  18. They seem pretty accurate, some them seem low to be from the manufacture. I know that the CR500 puts out 62HP. I can see a 500cc motor losing about 10HP in the transfer from a bike to a quad. That's what makes the TRX250 prototype amazing or hard to believe. They claim they loss little to no power in the transfer.
  19. I was kinda young at that time. I was riding the good ol' Honda 110. I loved that big red, bubble tired atc.
  20. I meant as far as it dripping on the radiator.
  21. I don't remember who made it but some aftermarket company put an XR650 motor into a 450r. They raced it in Baja. They sell a lift kit for the Rhino that allows 31" tires. That's the same size that is on my Ford Ranger. You gotta love the old Tecate.
  22. Well then that shoots my theory down. You can usually smell if the steam is water or something else.
  23. You can still talk your chit, just make sure it is true stuff!

  25. Honda needs to step it up in ALOT of catagories. There 4x4 sales have always stayed pretty consistant. The are really hurting in the sport class. They need to revamp the 450R. Rumor has it that in 2009 the CRF450 will have EFI. They expect the TRX450 to follow it's big brother into the EFI world but not until 2010.
