  1. from wat i heard the KFX has held up very well. i love the way the frame geometry is shaped. only fault is that a couple pro national racers has cracked their frames but kawi fixed it in latter 08 models. remeber these guys are pros and all the frames cracked on flat landing 80-100' jumps, so it will definatly hold up to your abuse...
  2. who said we were crying about it. i wouldnt buy it jus b/c the weight wouldnt suit MY needs at all. im sure its a great trail and XC quad. hence why its wayne mattlocks baja quad. Another thing to think about bot. it gunna cost more cash for upgrading suspension. the shocks on the XX is not adjustable from wat i understand. on the outlaw you wont need to upgrade suspension. its shocks are fully adjustable.
  3. triple rate means the shock uses 3 sets of springs. heres an example, not my shocks but you get the idea see the big spring on the bottom, then the middle size spring in the middle, then the smaller spring on top. this builds resistants against harsh landing while still giving you a comfortable ride when cruising.
  4. HELL YES! if you have only ridden stock shocks you might think im outta my loop but if youve ever ridden a quad with aftermarket suspension you will kno wat im talkin about. the triple rate springs are wat make that much of a difference.
  5. there are alot of deals out there jus keep your eyes open and dont be to hasty. the front shocks are always the ones that suck the worst. you can send your rear shock to C&D racing or GTT and they will make it as good as a aftermarket one like elka. but alot cheaper i kno i will never ride on stock shocks again!
  6. its great! when your riding slow and and cruising its very plush and soaks bumps and holes very well, but when i went of my homemade jump that i usually bottom out on they didnt come close to bottoming out. ill put them to the true test this weekend tho
  7. pichas and one of the new tires lemme wat yall think
  8. well my elkas came in today! I put em on the bike and man its like riding on a pillow!!! its so smooth and it made the quad a tad bit wider. it came with everything and even some stickers (i like stickers ) ill have pics up in a few
  9. yep im usally at the forums but i do check out the profiles jus for kicks and grins. i use livechat when me and bansheeboy wants to shot the $hit. i sometimes look at the pictures section if im bored. i hardly ever use the videos section(thats wat youtube is for). i check the for sale section every now and then. even tho i will never have enuf to buy a new quad anytime soon. and thats about it
  10. ok this is sonot something for me to say buuut i think the outlaw would be your best bet bruh. i think the 700xx will be a wee bit to tipsy. and like i said before you better pray to the good lord you keep the rubber side down. the outlaw has better shocks. thats the main reason i would go popo.
  11. takr the my above post back my favorite is the 250r! the best sport quad ever made
  12. i disagree, honda is the most sold SPORT and UTLITY quad on the market. which is the 400ex and the rancher. sure popo and ktm are companies that are pretty damn big. but not as huge as honda in the quad industry.
  13. i dont think ill want EFI, especially for XC races. why? because you start from a dead engine. efi quads are much more cold natured than carburated quads. and if they do make them efi, then go ahead and make 2 models. one with efi and one with a carb. id like to see the trx450r have a MX version that MIGHT have efi, be 50inch wide and have upgraded LT shocks like the new yfz. and an XC 450r that has LT shocks but has +1 a arms for XC and a carb. id like to see something new from the 400ex, liquid cooled or something! the 400 has been basically the same for 10 years it needs a makeover BAD!
  14. welcome! ikno those rappys have a bad habit of stading straight up some times is its basically stock?
  15. i kno you passed a red 400 a couple times
  16. i think its great! that saves bundles of cash and extended a arms, brake lines, tie rods and etc. and all of our trails are ATLEAST 2 quad length which is about 8 or 9 feet wide. so extended a arms are jus added assurance for keeping the rubber side down(or shiny side up as you refer to it ) and besides there is still the regular yfz450 that is narrower and single rate shocks for xc. about yamaha copying can am. yamaha actually had this layout for months before can am even released the ds450. the only reason yamaha procrastinated releasing the yfz450r was because they were testing and fine tuning their GYTR accesories. im actually very happy with the yfz's updates. yamaha made a very smart move releasing this bike. they are trying to keep up with the competition, unlike honda
  17. welcome! you'll like it here. lots of nice ppl and info
  18. wat the helll ur wayyyy wrong aluminum NO WELD frame, EFI, dual rate shocks, 50 inch stance, better and adjustable handlebars, cushiony side panels. i think yamaha might be my next new quad if the price is ever right (=
  19. not a fan of mud, so i reckon ill sit this one out.
  20. honda is one of the (if the not the absolute most) most bought quad EVER if i were a hardcore racer and i was lookin for a quad with a tight budget. then i would go for the KTM, jus because it is cheaper to buy a stock race ready KTM than modify a stock 450r. honda would make a freaking killing if the 450r was race ready and priced around 9K-10K. jus a little bit cheaper than the KTM but just as good. i mean look at the competion, can am has the ds450mx and i would buy that over a 450r just because i wouldnt have to modify it as much. if you have ever had to upgrade suspension on ur quad then you kno wat im talking about. just my 2cents
  21. anythings better than ur canned ham :reddevilc: jk
