  1. full face helmets all the way, and for two reason only, Chin + bar clamp = :cuss:c and they look much more cooler
  2. im at the mx track reguaraly, but most of the time its trails. i wanna race sooooo bad but the craps expensive, i can only go race when the location is within an hour and a half from my house. after i get my license and that extra cash to blow, i will most definatly pick up racing the sorcs(xc) series. i wish i could find an mx series close to me, but most tracks only have bike races only.
  3. lucky! haha but ill for sure keep yall up to date wat i dont understand is its not even 10 months old yet and its already developed a fairly odd problem. it was always maintained properly. my dad said i was a quad killer but damn!
  4. yessir i am. i took it to the dealer today. let them deal with it. as soon as they find the problem they are supposd to call me. so ill keep yall posted. hopefully she'll be out by this weekend.

  6. it doesnt leak while riding. i checked it saturday night and it was fine, and i didnt start the quad at all till this afternoon, and then i started it up and checked the oil. and there i found no oil. so its happening while it sits in the garage. theres no oil on the garage floor or anything so idk.
  7. ok, i jus got done cleaning it and afterward i checked my oil and THERES WASNT ANY OIL! so i kno it isnt burning oil, cause i havent rode it at all since last saturday night which was when i last checked the oil and it read perfect. so i its leaking somewhere. i checked all my drain bolts and they were nice and tight. i checked my air box and it was fine. ithink ill just going to take it to the dealer, as much as i hate to. me and my father are both baffled do you guys have any idea where my oil is going. and wats causing the "disapering oil trick"?
  8. yep, idk how i lost all of it. the quad still runs great so the compression is still alright. i started it up yesterday afternoon and the oil was still right where i filled it up last weekend. ill have to inspect it some more this weekend, it takes FOREVER for my dealer to do any work on our quads so we might try fixing it if its a small problem.
  9. well the book says 1.95 but, we always put in a little more than 2 quarts and that gets the oil to the correct spot on the dipstick.

  11. we went riding at prentice cooper. but while i was preparing, i checked my oil, and i noticed i had no oil reading on my dipstick(its sorta odd cause i jus changed the oil a month ago, and only rode it 2 or 3 times). so i put 1 and a half quarts in her and loaded up. we got to prentice and at the very begining of the trails there is a pretty decent hill climb. i go up it in 2nd gear and my dad noticed my quad was smoking at higher revs. immediatly we thought "ohh sh**! its burning oil!" so i rode it the rest of the day as is. but its stopped smoking half way up the first trail. i then checked my oil and it was reading at the same place it was when i filled it up. then i checked it again after we had it loaded on the trailer and it was still fine. so im thinking it could be the valve seals. and that should be covered under my warranty. so wat do yall think the problem could be? but to end this long winded post i will post some pictures from last weekend of me on small but fun downhill jump. stupid leaves! and a video [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd0RWJQE9sE]YouTube - prentice cooper[/ame]

  13. welcome to both of you! i can tell sparrows rides a 400ex by his avater(nice choice btw) but do you ride a 680 rincon, by anychance mudwild680?

  15. the fox float evols(the ones with rezzies) only come in Long travel, so they wont fit stock a arms. so you'll have to have lt a arms for them to ride correctly. but the floats without rezzies do come in standard travel. the elkas you can get in standard travel to fit your stock a arms.

  17. ive ridden on them for a short amount of time, and couldnt rele tell a HUGE difference bewteen the flexx and my pro taper contours. now ive heard from ppl that do have them and ride for hours and hours on end with them. and they say its like shocks for your arms. for the money ill stick with my contours. but if you have the green,by all means getcha some

  21. sadly our 400s are a dime a dozn its hard to get wat we rele want out of them i would keep the 400 and fix it up nice and not take any short cuts. have it fresh and 100% ready for next season
  22. word. the 400 is rele corked up stock, but once you pipe it, jet it, and throw an airfilter on it, its beastly(not mine, my neighbor used to have a 406ex). the first thing id replace is stock suspension. IT SUCKS!!! aftermarket is soooo much more plush and smooth. if you want a lil bit more power you cold grab a z400. theyre nice machines. they dont have the bottom end the 400 has, but pulls away from the ex after 4th gear.

  24. dude its one of the lightest 450s on the market. its 405 pounds WITH all the fluids in it.
