  1. It’s possable that the timing chain jumped when you shut the bike down. Check the timing first and see how it looks.   Then check the plug and see if it’s flooded out and the color of the plug.  Maybe the float in the carb is stuck.  But start with the timing.

  2. The set up on that bike looks correct. It’s strange.  Any chance the front suspension had work done? My guess is you put a new set of front tires. Different tread. I think you won’t have any more problems.

The amount of tread really is not the way to look at it. If the treads are good but all rounded at the ends it’s going to slip  I picked up a nice set of fronts for $85 bucks on amazon. I just checked the price and they went up to $117.  They were for my recon. That thing turns like a champ on anybterrain.  The tires are great.   I wouldn’t over think it.   Go with the obvious.

  3. It happens.  People jump start their bikes with a car or a jumper pack and don’t realize they can blow up a stator coil.  All sorts of resons.  Welding on a bike can do the same. I’m at the point where I can’t wait for a bike to give me the best problem it has to offer. Bc the bottom line it’s that it’s a machine and it has a diagram and if you can understand the diagram you own that bastard. So let’s get after it and fix that thing and make it run.

  4. Ok hold on one sec. Here at Quadcrazy believe it or not the manuals are free!

Secondly I said I’m willing to help you sort out the electrical diagram because I am a wiring kinda guy!

And lastly anything that I can’t help you with there are plenty more memebers her to jump in and help with a solution.

Take a look at some of the forum posts and you will see some of the most complicated problems to some of the simplest are solved here!

  5. Everyone I know is all banged up with a cold or some sh**.  Hope ya feel better. I found a few bikes this week that I’m going to look at. Ones a bayou 300.  Sitting for a while.  Guy wants $750, not happening. The other is a worier 350 not running but a ton of extras and wants $500 to get it gone. He said it’s his sons and been sitting for a few years in a garage.  Going to try and grab both for $1000.  Busy weekend ahead trying to wrap up the one bayou and pick up two more! The wife is going to flip!!!!! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. So the new part has  arrived! $13.00 bucks and it’s oem so that’s good.   Take a look at the pics and you can see the projection of the metal tab that’s spring loaded coming out of the reverse cam.  That should surely reach the electronic pick ups on the neutral safety and reverse switch.  I’m off to go get some beer and head to the garage! Pics and the end result coming soon! Maybe have it done by the weekend.  Only a few hours each day to get this done.

  7. Hahaha little bastard!! I love it. If I had to sum up the way I feel about all of my bikes past and present I would put that way.  I love the bikes i get and feel the same way! Anyway I would guess it’s the stator. It’s an easy test with an ohm meter.  But a new one cant hurt! Keep us posted I’m curious how it goes.

  8. Hey @Lellwyn Griffin I was just looking at the exact same bike to buy in NJ. Same color etc.  it had a plow and winch installed the bike was in great shape. I wound up going for something a little better but also sad I didn’t grab it.  The guy wound up selling it for $2600 I believe. Great bike.

But like @Ajmboy said I buy a lot of bikes.  The things I look for are color and clarity of oil, wiring work that has been done by others, take a good look at the frame for repairs like welding work or bends in the frame from a wreck Check the plastics underneath for mismatch colors. A quick look at the carburetor to make sure it’s not a cheap aftermarket. And I always take a quick compression reading.  Anything  from 150 to 180 psi is good and usually within range for that cc engine.  Go through all the gears and if possable I like to raise up the wheels off the ground and spin the tires to see if they wobble (bent axles or rims) or have any movement in the bearings.

post some more pics I would love to see it.

    Good luck
