  1. Hello and happy new year!
Hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday season.
I’ve been talking with @06kfx440 and thinking about or hoping I should say that any Quadcrazy members in or around the N.Y. area would like to try and spend a day of riding together.

@06kfx440 has a place for us to get together where we should be able to meet offload and go riding.
Maybe pack a cooler with food and drinks and anything else anyone can think of to bring.
It would be cool if some of us could get together and ride for a day have some fun and put a name to a face! Check out everyone’s bikes and shoot the sh**! Nothing crazy and no long drawn out rides where anyone gets lost or disruptive, drunk or stupid.
    Just some fun trail riding.

    Any suggestions/input-would be great.
Let us know what you think.
Maybe April ? @06kfx440made a good point that it’s still cool enough but also not too cool.😎
This goes out to all members that feel
like taking the ride and joining us should this come together. #letsdoit
  2. Wow a lot of new members and owners of some really cool ATV’s !!! Good luck to you all. You will find a lot of help here with any problems you might have as well as some general conversation and pics/videos.

Off to a good start for 2019.

    Ride safe!

  3. A couple of things I always bring with me.

    1. A small jumper pack to see if the bike cranks and dash lights work.

    2. Socket set to pull the plug so you can check compression/spark.

    3. Vin# web page stored as a favorite on my phone to verify the year.

4.Always look under the plastics to see that the colors all match and haven’t been changed.

    5. I look at the bolts everywhere especially the engine to see if there Is any striping from sockets or wrenches that have been put on the bolts. Kind of an indicator as to if the engine has been taken apart.

    6. Color of oil (grey) for water 💦 no good.

    7. Tons of tape on the wiring harness like someone has torn through it and re taped.

    8. Go through all the gears, weather the bike runs or not. Put it in gear and try to roll bike see how it puts pressure on the engine.

    9. Lastly I look for welds on the frame. For repairs to cracks, wrecks etc.

All of these things I do very quickly and use the results as a negotiation tool when buying.

  4. So that’s a 350. Originally from New Hampshire. Found it on CL and went to see it in Brewster ny. The guy that I bought it from has property up there and picked it up driving by an estate sale.

I Paid $2800 with papers original bill of sale including maintenance records.

I sold that Bayou I rebuilt from one of my older posts here. The brown camo one for  $1800 and grabbed this.  I was into that bike for a total of $750 bike, parts, paint everything!  Bought it with a bad cam journal noise for those of you that remeber.  Paid $400 running but a slight knock. Picked up a really nice used head for $140 and gaskets etc. Hated to sell it bc it was so tight and ran great. Also fast. But this bike is worth the swap.  My oldest loved it.

  5. Sold the Bayou 400 for a really good profit and found a good bike for my oldest!

I’ve been buying old, beat up low $ fixing and selling for good profit.

So far I’ve done pretty well. Picked up this 2009 rancher!
