DirtDemon i think 73mph is right but in my june 2009 issue i looked and same 1 guy test all of the machines on the drag it says they used a magellan gps for those numbers so i think the problem is in the other issues they probly used a different method of testing speed or a craper gps......STOOPIDBOT also i was doin some reaserch and found out that on the 06 and 07 models have worse steering then the earlier models i forget what their called butt in the newer models they made the top of the front wheels tilt in and making it feel jaring

yeah butt the ds450 suckz...the 450r doesnt the only good thing the ds450 has is its foxs shocks but other than that the motor has no power espacaly on bottom end

........idk but i have found errors in dirt wheels like in one of the issues it said the yfz had 4 valves.....all i know is mine didnt have 4 sooo good point mabee there was a heavy rider in my issue or mabee tested in different terain where the tires dont hook up as good idk i guess its impossible to get an exact top speed

STOOPIDBOT!!!! not tryin 2 be a prick but in dirt wheels mag yfz top speed was 78.8mph with the fastest (even more then the ktm450xc!!! at 74mph) and the trx 450 with the slowest at 69.5mph but it accelerated one of the fastest of the start and had the most reliable engine with the best fit and confort

but what about the yfz extra valve wouldnt that give it equal accelaration with the ltr?...and im not sayin the yfz is the best it has flaws like the stock exahust is corkin the engin more then the other 450s and for some reason the bolts always snap off of not just the yfz but all sport yamahas 4 some reason

no point in chain them they would have just cut it of like the heavy duty lock we had on were just goin 2 get an alarm........and chain them together anyway just in case

cant get ktm or yfz anymore insuence given me a hard time gettin a trx father will wait next year 4 his :[

it happend when i wanted to go riden with my buddys so i grabed my key to open shed lock....but i noteced there was no lock 4 me 2 put the key in my heart droped. i slowly open the creeky shed door and noteced their was a big blank spot were the quads were sopost to be. i stared at that spot 4 awile....my father was behind me and said wats wrong being so stuned i did not replie at first and then i said daaaad were are the atvs my father just said O sh*t............ O well........?!?!?!? what do u mean o well their fully insured he said commly (very unlike him) so we called the cops and told them last night a truck broke into our shed and stole my dads 400ex and my yfz : so im getin a new quad which one a YFZ450X or a KTM450xc which is faster and more reliable any info will help......and if u see a grey and red 08 yfz with a moto works slip on contact me thanx. cant beleve those bastards got away with it!

i have a 08 yfz the top speed of an 08-09 yfz stock is 78.8mph and top speed of 08-09 stock trx450 is 69.5(proof in dirt wheels mag) both accelerate good yfz has an extra valve so probly accelrate fast by a lil.... but on the other hand the trx has more torque and the hondas are bulit proof and extremly reliable yamahas are good with that 2 but have alot of problems with their bolts thay always snap if i tighten.....yfz has lower center of gravity seats thiner trx more comfort wider seat.... out of all the sport 450s the trx atrabutes are all good just do not exxel...i could go on 4 days with this lol:laugh:

which is fastest in a drag and on the track their both race ready atvs but ive been hearing alot of talk about how a ltr can smoke a yfz i find that hard 2 beleve

they also use the yamaha breeze/grizzly 125 but they now mounted a gun on it and is use by a remote control!! saw it on future wepons and another source
