  1. I wondered about that when you told me 2 cups, i dont work on Polaris so i wasnt sure. So you check the oil at the holding tank and then it goes into engine when running, That sounds like the way the old Harleys worked. I didnt know they used that type oiling system. On the old Harleys i understood because no matter how much oil you put in half would leak out.
  2. Two cups is barely lubing anything im surprized the engine hasnt locked up.
  3. Thanks for the reply i unpluged the wire from the soloenoid and it didnt pop the fuse so maybe something up around the key switch area key switch was replaced a couple of years ago with aftermarket maybe already bad.
  4. I really like that winch with poly rope, i was looking at a 4500 today at Tractor supply really nice heavy duty poly rope, i was impressed and im not very impressionable. I think im going to have to replace my old ones.
  5. I know that movie if its the one im thinking about it kind of creepy.
  6. Hate hearing that, i know it can happen just hasnt happened to me, i know when i am pulling heavy loads i can hear when the winch is struggling and get as far away as possible and duck down in front of truck. I cringe when i am watching uTubes of these guys pulling cars out of woods that have been there for 40 years, they are right up there side of the cable pulling and pushing on it, i would be as far away as possible.
  7. My first thought would be ring blow by but that sounds like to much oil for that, i would check the crankcase vent and make sure its not stopped up there is something causing it to build up too much pressure in the crankcase.
  8. I put a brand new Mikuni on it last year and always run it out before storing, its possible that some redidual left in the carb could be sticking but it ran so good for a good while and then just died wouldnt start back up and then blew the fuse, no power, the gas is fresh just put it in before i started it. Just went out put a 30 amp in blew immediately. Touched the battery terminals with screwdriver and starter turns so nothing locked up. Time for some wire chasing.
  9. Dont know that expression!
  10. I pulled out my Big Bear needed to do a few things probably havent been started in a year. Gassed it up charged the battery started right up. I have been using it around the property for this and that. Went to hook up my trailer to pull up to the house while it was idling it quit. Went to start it turned over but wouldnt start. After trying a few more times lost all power. Pulled it up to the house with the John Deere, the first thing i checked was the Universal fit soloenoil from Amazon and it was only a 10 AMP fuse so it does not universally fit the big bear it should be 30 AMP fuse. At the time i remember noticing it but forgot, at the time i had other problems like wiring harness being in a box stuck engine and no spark. when i bought it, yeah i know, thats one ishould have walked away from, but if i go to the trouble of hooking up my trailer and going there, its following me home. Thats old news, i still need to check it all out see if it lost spark and see if the starter shorted out it was acting kind of sluggish, i replaced the fuse with the spare 10 amp and blew immediately. I will try a 30 and see what happens.
  11. Is this the Kymco MXU 450i? There should be a couple of relays close to the battery, you might check them out.
  12. Interesting !
  13. I agree with getting from your dealer some things just need to be seen before purchase im all for saving money but for something like this i wouldnt mind paying a little more for something you really like and will have for a long time. Yeah! You might have to get you some looser fitting riding gear but good and thick so briars dont get your legs. I have leather but im not really going to recommend those, they are great for the brush and briars but are hot and not the most comfortable i have ever had on.
  14. Hard storage is the way to go looks nicer and cleaner and some come with padding and there are also padding kits available, getting banged around is what its all about just pretend you are ridding a buffalo. Some of the trails i have been on i cant image it being much different.
  15. A 27 will fit, but i always try to stay with factory sizes for safety purposes.
  16. That little valve is going to be hard to find this is the original part # that was replaced by 3086810 Oneway Valve, Part 3086810 Item #: 3086810 Replacement for #: 3084843 https://www.partzilla.com/product/polaris/3086810 also unavailable
  17. Class 1 ATV is under 50 inches wide most , UTV SxS fall into class 11 category.
  18. Nice rig looks like fun!
  19. Engine Big Bore kits available , not sure of any clutch mods.
  20. I would look on Ebay, and i also us Power Sports Nation for used parts.
  21. Not that i am aware of those engines are very resiliant. Did it just happen or what was going on when it failed?
  22. Its possible its not firing correctly, check to make sure you are getting correct voltage to your injector, first i would try some Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner just to see if it is partially clogged, i have had good luck with that stuff. If still no go and you have correct voltage i would just replace it they arent that expensive.
  23. No i havent i have mostly done ATVs and Motorcycles and they came with custom fit covers. From the looks of your seats the back should also be a custom fit cover cut and sewed to fit the OEM seat foam, there should be some for sale they just slide over and tied at the back to make it tight.
  24. This is the first i have heard of this i dont see the newer ones very often always considered yamaha of good quality only topped by honda, with suzuki and Kawasaki running neck to neck with them. I know a lot of the newer technology goes bad but engines are very solid, its just finding what new tech devise has failed. Back when you just has an engine, carb and shifter is was generally easy to find the problem with electronics being fairly simple.
  25. It does feel nice out there compared to those 100+ days we have been having.
