  1. No its white smoke! Thats why it doesnt seem too serious to me.
  2. I have a 2005 400ex that is blowing more oil than normal. When i start it while its cold, it blows smoke that im pretty sure is oil! Also, every time i go riding (4-6 hours) It blows a little less than half a tank of oil. My dad says its the piston rings but hes no expert! Also anyone know how i should jet it for a k&n filter? (only because the previous owner had put bigger jets on it, i dont know why)

  5. So if I want to buy jets, will the size be optional, or does the kit come with multiple sizes? I need a smaller main jet, and i was wondering if it comes with multiple sizes in case I get an exhaust or something later.

  8. I was looking into learning how to jet a carb since it seems to be a very important part of the atv world! Found a few good pages about jetting and have a question. How would I increase the jet size on a pilot or a main jet? Would I have to buy new jets or is there a certain procedure to do so on the stock jets? Thanks. P.s: try to lean any replies towards a beginners point of view
  9. Ill take the 450r over the rest cause it has good power, its light for jumping, and has that Honda reliability that everyone loves. I personally dont like Fuel Injection either! Great part about the kawi is that it has reverse, and the yfz is fastest in a straight line. I would take the 450r anyday.

  12. I was just wondering if an 04-08 would fit my 03 z400. The 04-08 subframes can take a different grab bar, thats why i want it! Thanks:biggrin:
  13. As a lot of people know, the o3 ltz, kfz, and trx 400s came with a subframe that did not allow you to remove the grab bar and put on an aftermarket one like the newer models. I was wondering how in the world i can put on a new grab bar on my 03 z400. Is there a special type of grab bar for them or something?

  15. something almost identical happened to my 04 polaris predator. my mechanic told me it was the cdi box so you might wanna check that out!
  16. HAH! i got pulled over by a florida fish and wildlife officer along with 3 of my buddies. I just didnt want him to take my bike since i didnt have the title with me, had no helmet, riding on the street, and am under 16 years old. Funny thing is, while he had us pulled over, a few other bikes were able to escape. the only reason he didnt chase them was because he had my friend handcuffed(says he had to since my buddy is in the marines)

  19. just got a kfx 400 instead because my uncle has the z400 with him in carolina. my kfx has a slip on yoshimura pipe, houser swingarm and a-arms, GForce axle, lowering kit, maxxis razrs, dyno jet kit, nerf bars, and a big gun rev box.
  20. the selling prices are both around the same. Around $2700 to $3000 where i live. i just got offered an 03 ltz 400 fully customuzed by team suzuki so i might get that.
  21. i want you guys(AND GIRLS) to help me make a decision on whether i should sell my 04 predator 500 and buy my uncles 03 ltz 400 (mint condition). my pred has given me a few problems such as getting engine oil into the air box and filter, the ignition takes any key since the original owner flipped it, the front tire is also bent and its a very heavy bike for me(im 14 years old and 115 lbs.) i want the 400 because its lighter so i can learn to do wheelies, has reverse, and i trust suzuki more. tell me what you think!
