Here is how to insert an image/photo into a post.

The image must be hosted elsewhere on another site or in your personal picture galleries here at QUADCRAZY.

Locate the image (online) that you would like to insert into your post. Right Click on that image and copy the URL (http://............) of the picture.

Go to the post and when writing a new post or replying, find the Image Icon insertimage.gif and click it. It will ask you for that URL. Insert it and hit OK.

That's it!

but it can't be in my computers then, but at a third site?????? huh? WHY? this is the first site where I've run into THIS stuff. this is where I come off the rails

I'm running three computers, does that count?

If I understand this right, I have to upload to quadcrazy photo/video bank first. THEN I find it again after I figure out where I want to post it in a thread? Long way 'round the barn, isn't it? Honestly, most sites are far more user friendly than this. try them.

You guys are making great strides! I was completely baffled when I joined here. The more you can make it 'upload off my PC' the more participation you will have. If it's easy to do then it's fun. If I need a degree or is a pain or makes no sense = less participation. This is a hurdle for me, still. Keep up the good work!!!

Off your PC you will have to use "Manage Attachments" (Attach Files). This is the way ALL forums work. I have yet to see one that gives you a different option off your pc. Some don't even have an upload photo feature. Here you have your own gallery to upload to. The above method is using a url for the photo from any site, including your photo gallery here at QUADCRAZY.

Hey Raptor.....

Dont you use a site like Photobucket for hosting pictures????? That is what I use....Its easy and it resizes them automatically....And its FREE Brotha!!

Or,,,,,GOOGLE IMAGAGES.....That is where I "URL" Most of the Stupid Pictures I post here...

With Photobucket they give you the HTML Links to just paste it in your post without using the insertimage.gif Button....See there....I just URL'ed that....LMAO!!! and it didnt take but 5 seconds....But with Google Images or pulling a pic from any other site you do....

Hope that helped....I know it was just a ramble.....I have no coffee in me yet....

We just added an easy way to insert any image in the GALLERY section into any forum that supports BB code (like here) and any website.

hotlink.jpg

The two forum options are for the regular image and thumbnail. Just copy and paste the code into your post, that's it!

I just used it for my contest entry. REAL EASY! I already had uploaded the photo and just copy and pasted the code for the forums. Nice!

I just did the same thing. It will also link to the image page. Nice and easy.

With our new site, to insert an image you would just paste the image (or video) url directly into the post to embed it or use Insert other media to the lower right of the post editor. :D

There is a also a feature where if you copy the url from topic, post, photo (from the picture gallery) it will automatically embed it as well.

Example below. All I did was enter the url to the content.

I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem.
I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.
      Thank you for your time

Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

      Hi everyone,
I often work on both ATVs and larger construction equipment, and I’m always on the hunt for solid OEM manuals—service, repair, and parts. The usual searches give a lot of random PDFs or unofficial scans that aren’t very trustworthy.
What online sources do you all use when you need a factory manual quickly? Are there sites you’ve found that consistently provide genuine OEM content for ATVs or heavy machinery?
I recently came across Heavy Equipment Manual, which claims to provide verified OEM service and parts manuals (covering brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kubota, etc.). Has anyone here tried it, or do you have other go-to resources you’d recommend?
I’m interested in options that are:
      ·        Fast to download
      ·        Cover both heavy equipment and ATV models
      ·        Clear on licensing and safety
Thanks for sharing your experiences and any recommendations!

Recently rebuilt front end on this Polaris 400. New axles, bearings, seals, control arm bushings, Hilliard clutch thoroughly cleaned and inspected with no damage noted.
Everything put back to together. Placed bike on jack stands all four wheels off the ground, started in 2 WD switched to AWD both front tires spinning, when AWD turned
off right front wheel will not disengage from AWD. Checked voltage at connectors both left and right connectors have no voltage with AWD switch off, and both have 12.4V
when AWD switch is turned on. Repeated turning switch on and off several times with no change in condition. I am thinking this must be something mechanical with the
Hilliard clutch on the right hub ie. weak spring or stuck rollers on the Hilliard clutch assembly (Is this a logical thought?) any ideas on trouble shooting this before I disassemble the
      right front hub again
