That was my 2nd attempt at hydroplaning. The 1st went perfect, the 2nd my right side got into shallower water and caught ground. That side took off and turned me 90 degrees in a heart beat. Needless to say, I got launched. I never saw it coming.

Ok guys, I am a glutton for punishment! I picked up this 01 2wd Rancher because the plastics looked good on the marketplace. It has been sitting in the guys back yard for 10 years. The original engine blew and they swapped in an electric shift 4x4 engine. 😒The engine is locked up and was full of water. The wiring is hacked where they tried to get it to run and the rear end needs new swingarm bearings where they left it laying on the ground in the woods for 10 years. Has anyone here ever did the engine swap? First thing is to straighten out the wiring and get the engine free to see if I can get it to crank over. I have swingarm bearings ordered and a new ignition switch. So hopefully I can at least roll it around soon. 🤣

My friends KQ 300 starts fine and runs, as soon as you put it in gear and try to accelerate its bucks and farts like crazy, not moving... I cleaned carb and it worked good for 1 day... now back to same problem.... could it be such as a bent valve????

OK long story short....bike was running great no problems and i was back in the woods one day and it stalled .It wouldnt restart ,kept wanting to but it wouldnt.I towed it home.It sat in garage for a week ,i would try starting it every couple days ,it wouldnt. Then one day it fires right up.I kept starting it once a week with no problems. Then after a month same thing just wouldnt start.I but a battery tender on it for a day, then it fired right up,problem fixed i thought. So i turned it off and tried again and it just turns......IM going crazy over this thing, the battery is good.....
      Any help would be super

I have a meerkat50 that has a pedal shifter but no clutch cable.  This seems standard.  However, when the atv is in neutral, the engine revs like CRAZY and will pop a wheelie if I throw it in gear.  While in gear, it has little to no power.  Pressing on the accelerator doesn't do a thing.  If I turn on the choke while in neutral, the engine dies completely.
      Here's what I've tried:
Replacing the carburetor with a new one.  No change.
Spraying around the connections between the carb and the engine with starter fluid, looking for an rpm change to see if air was leaking into it.  No change.
Removing the throttle cable from the handlebar to see if it was too taut.  No change.
Checked timing-- top dead center seems to match on the flywheel and the cam.  Although this depends on the direction I rotate the engine.  The only way to rotate it without the nut coming loose is to rotate it clockwise.  When I do this, the engine timing seems right.  But there is enough play in the chain that when I let it go slack, it may be out of time.  This is likely normal, and I can't imagine this would be enough to cause this problem.
Any thoughts on what would cause an insane idle with no power under load?
      I really need help.
