Friends had them, and I always wanted to ride with them since we had lots of trails. Sadly, southern NH isn't so friendly for riding anymore, but we do have Jericho State Park up north, though it's a 2-hour drive from the NH seacoast.

I tried quad first time (If I remember correct it was 200cc :D) at my friends summer place and that didnt go as planned. I came back from ride and in last corner I had bit too much speed so I found myself in ditch.

Had pretty luck good that nothing bad happened, only one t-shirt was ripped and had minor wound in chest.

At that point I was thinking to myself that I wont get any ATV never, but here I am currently making engine overhaul to Polaris Outlaw 525IRS :D

I was like 7 years old and a friends' dad brought home a Honda 4 wheeler that he would let us ride on the back with him or one of the boys. They had this wooded area behind his house, and we would just ride around for hours on end. One day, they told me they would let me learn how to drive it. I took the hardest turn on the track and lost control, put it right into a tree and didn't touch another one for probably 9 years. Lol, now I have a 2020 Can Am outlander 570, 2004 Honda recon 250, and just took possession of a 2005 Kawasaki Prairie 360. I LOVE riding, but haven't been able to in a while.

I have always been a motorcycle guy and truly still am.  I bought an acreage and my quad has been pretty much the most useful machine on the little farm.  Sooo.... owning property got me into quads.

Growing up on a farm we didn't play sports we played with anything motorized. Tractors, Dune buggies, go carts, dirt bikes, quads, skidoos, you name it. If it had a motor we rode it.

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.

I have this bike in my shop for a customer. It was sunk completely under water and left running until it killed. I did a complete engine rebuild. Replaced all bearings, crank, oil pump, and various other components. Engine starts and runs great. It will shift up through all gears perfectly in automatic and in ESP, but when slowing down it gets to 3rd gear and the MIL "-" light comes on and stays on. No flashes or anything and it will not shift gears. Kill the engine and restart in ESP mode and it is able to shift to neutral and start over. Does the same thing while down shifting in ESP mode. I replaced shift angle sensor with no improvement. Checked oil pressures as per repair manual "74psi" and higher with higher RPM's. With no MIL codes to point at an issue. I am at a loss as to what else to check or replace. Has anyone else ran across this issue?

When you and a group of friends decide you want to take a long group trip of camping/riding/overlanding, how far are you willing to drive for your trip? Right now, i find it really difficult to want to drive more than 2-3 hours one way.
