We needed something get around our property on and we were looking for more of a utility type than sport so we settled on a Yamaha Grizzly 700.

I've used it to haul my chainsaws/oil/gas, plow the driveway, skid logs, search for neighbors lost dogs, get the mail as our mailbox is about 1 mile from our house, rescue the riding mower from being stuck in a ditch,...and the list goes on.

I grew up on a farm so bikes have been a part my life since day dot. I recently brought a big bear 400 4x4 which is min for taking through the national parks. The 4x4 is definetly worth it there's to many time that instead of getting off the bike to get it unstuck I could just wack it into 4x4 and lock the diff and off she goes!

I bought a 2011 and needed it for plowing.  The guy I bought it from gets a new one every 3 years. This one had low miles.  I sold it and bough a Kawasaki Mule, but now place to put it for the winter, so I sold it.  Then  I bought a 2003 Honda Foremen 500 and wouldn't shift so I replace the shift motor and it works great.

I love street bikes. now you say what? I started working at the kawi dealer ship. found myself working on more off road than anything else. after working there 6years decided to open my own shop. and once again working on more off road. living outside of town it's so much fun to drive other people's stuff around. now the sport bike just sits there looking pretty.

Im kinda similar. Mind ya'll I plan on leaving my shovelhead to my kids or grandkids. Not gonna stop riding. But this ATV thing? Everything I used to love about being a biker, but without all the a'holios on the pavement. Cagers and street bikers alike.

can't go anywhere on my harley without some poseurs SOA wanna be biker or crotch rocket crawler being a douche torpedo. Never mind the cagers crawling up my exhaust til I flash em whats riding on my belt.

I just want to Ride. to be out there . .

I love riding, always have. I can spend days lost on a bike, never being lost.

My ATV kinda brings the best of both back into play.

I got into ATV riding after a friend introduced me to the sport. I was initially hesitant, but after trying it out, I was hooked. The excitement of navigating through challenging terrain and the freedom of exploring the great outdoors on a powerful machine was addictive. I soon found myself investing in my own ATV and spending every free moment out on the trails. ATV riding has since become a passion of mine and a staple in my recreation and leisure time.

New guy here. I rode dirt bikes starting at about 6 years old up until 13. Dads best friend was killed on his street bike in 1981 and my dad sold his bikes so I quit riding too. Step-father bought a brand new 2013 Suzuki King Quad 500 and rode it around his yard 99% of the time and plowed their driveway. He passed away this past August so my mother gave me his quad. Has 1067 miles on it and is in very good condition. I'm new to ATV's so will have a bunch of questions. I'm 54 and plan to do some trail riding. Lower speed, no mudding, etc. Nice calm riding

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

So here where I live in Newfoundland Canada, they let you drive your bike on the road provided it’s registered and insured same goes for crossing highways but on trails you don’t need to be insured. And I don’t even think you need a full license to insure your bike they said it was up to the insurance company. I’m trying to get my old 1985 Suzuki 250 registered they have to do a search for it to make sure it hasn’t been in anyone else’s name first. Hopefully it comes back clean I am pretty excited

I am in the process of puting it back together after replacing the DPS gearbox.
The manual I have states that it will need to be flashed by a dealer. Is this still true?
Also , I have a mystery bolt That I cannot remember where it goes. M6x 70 or so.  Hex head with a flat washer.I will try to attach a pic.
Pic is no go for now....Cox issue I will try again later
      TIA

Hello from southeast Georgia. Was gifted a 2000 Yamaha bear tracker with out a carb or battery and looking like it had seen better days. Was told it had sat for about three years. Explained a lot. Put a carb on and a battery in and it started right up. Surprised the heck out of me  Anyhow as stated in my opening I am  78 years old with a very long motorcycle backgground but brand new to atv's. Anyone else out here from Georgia? Would like to meet up with some folks for a ride or two. Looks like a great site. Thanks for having me.
      Don
