On the topic of aftermarket parts. With some parts not being available  due to the age of our 2550 Quads I have been finding success using wheel cylinders as well as brake shoes. No problems thus far.

With many parts no longer available for My Daughter's and my 2000 and 1995 250 Quads I'm looking at alternative places to get parts. Is there a salvage place  to buy parts?

I have been using a lot of aaftermarket parts also and i havent haad a problem with any so far, i do try to stay with OEM carbs if possible the aftermarket ones work OK but i think you get a little better performance from OEM. but brake parts suspension partts and eleectrical parts all seem to be good.

Amazon number one go, then ebay. If they don't have whats needed then Im out of luck and have to take a hit on one of those parts website.

I second this, a salvage lot/website for just quads would be nice.

Salvaged ok. But plastic, rubber , hoses, bushines seals is prone to harden and gett cracked over time and it's about half of the quad parts. So recommend buying parts from OEM, or for cheaper known brands Prox, EPI, Winderosa and others. Sometimes Non OEM parts are 5x cheaper than OEM and quality is really similar.

 We've been getting quite a few used parts from Power Sports Nation, and have been very happy with them.

Impressive.  i like the diy.  turned out my issue was the ECM.  no way for me to DIY that one.  I paid $450 on ebay for a nib and it was plug n play.  Dealer wanted like $800 for part and labor.  crazy.

My bought grizzly has issue with starting and working itself, so I have accidentaly found exact CDI (ECU) for 30$ on Ali which is a joke. If conventional method like rewiring will not work, I will try that for sure, as OEM costs hundreds.

I have found Ali has quite a few parts for hondas, I bought a new carb from there for something like $40, worked just like the old one. I also got brake shoes cheap and good.
