The newest issue of QUAD (JUNE/July) they do a big-bore shootout. They compare the KTM 525, Raptor 700, Polaris 525IRS, Polaris 525SRA. The overall winner was the KTM. 2nd place but nowhere near the KTM was the Raptor. They even state that the money one would spend on the Raptor 700SE is only 1000 less than the KTM. With everything that KTM offers on there quad, one would be a fool not to go with KTM.

I really like the KTM 525 myself, but I've been reading about engine issues with it. Take a look at the Can-Am DS 450.

I can't stand CAn am. It's mainly the attitude of the Can am owners. By the time I'm ready to buy it won't be a first year quad. They wiull have the bugs worked out. I use to own a KTM dirt bike. I love them, they make superior machines. They just have to work out the kinks.

whenever i get a STEADY job, the ktm will be wat i get as well. i love the fact of OHLIN shocks straight from the factory!! suspension is expensv these day and the ktm with all the chromoly parts, adjustable rear axle and ohlins shocks that equals about 1500- 2000 bucks. i might even look into the 450sx

just had to bring this back to life ... i do alot of quad drags and the craptors that show up to race rarely even make it to the second round ... the quads that winn most of the drags are auto trans polaris 2strokes with big bores and clutch mods ... or the can-am's big bore 4x4 quads ...

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.
