August Photo Contest

Theme: "Best ATV Trail Photo" with ATV Trail Listing! (Includes ATV/UTV/ATC and any type of riding area also)

* One photo per member!

* Your post must contain the url link to your trail listing in the TRAILS section!

Prize: QUAD Magazine Subscription

Rules: Submit a photo of your "Best ATV Trail Photo" with ATV Trail Listing! into this thread. Make sure that you place the link to the photo's trail listing that you have submitted into the new TRAILS section, into your post with the picture. * Only one picture per post please.

(If you are not familiar with how to post a photo, visit the Learning Center) Only one photo per member is allowed, so make sure it's a winner. You may submit photo that has not won a past contest.

Photos can be of yourself or taken by you. You may not submit photos that you do not have ownership of or permission to use. Any violation of these terms will result in disqualification.

NOTE: You MUST have a minimum post count of 10 to enter into the contest! We would like to see participation in our forums from all members who enter the contest.

Last day to enter a photo is August 26th.

Voting will take place for the last 4 days of August to determine the winner.

Voting will end August 30th and the winner will be announced!

      Wow...I packed a small soft side cooler with an ice pack  at -4 F and inserted my Type K thermocouple sensor inside so I could monitor the temperature without opening.  After 3 hours  the inside temperature was 60  F...OMG!   The ice pack  was solid frozen.   Standard temperature for safe storage is < 40 F.     What I found by asking was that there should be no air space in the cooler.  Packed with Ice preferably ice from connivence store (normally 0 F of less).  Food should take up  short day trip1:1 ratio.
      Good coolers are expensive.

      Whiskey Springs ATV trail.

      We rode here the day before the event. This is a DCNR state forest trail system. The story behind the name is miners would put their bottles of whiskey in the local springs to keep them cold until their shift was over. Part of the trail system is on old strip mines so some areas are barren, others are full forest.
