centipede3001 Posted October 21, 2010 #1 Posted October 21, 2010 I recently got into riding 4 wheelers again and im wondering what are some cool places to ride at these days I live in york pa but im able to travel I know a lot of people ride up at towercity/roush creek trails Does anyone still ride at treverton? Are gameland trails fun to ride on ? Quote
Lumpneck Posted October 21, 2010 #2 Posted October 21, 2010 We've got some great state trails. Unfortunately they're closed now till hunting season closes. Bloody Skillet is my favorite. Some are only summer trails. Don't neglect a chance to try Snow Show Rails To Trails, that's another of our favorites. You need a membership for that one, but it's only like $15 for the year, and the trails are open year round. Lots go to RAC, which is next to Treverton. They (Reading Anthracite Company) charge $100 per year for membership. You have to be careful at Treverton so you don't cross over to RAC and end up with a fine for trespassing. You have lots of options. Quote

Lumpneck Posted October 23, 2010 #5 Posted October 23, 2010 Have you checked all these: Pennsylvania ATV Trails » QUADCRAZY ATV Community That's a great list with lots of good info. However, the last one, Lost Trails is now closed. They will be open next year in another location. It was sad to see it go, I loved that place, but I Just wanted to be sure nobody made the trip only to find the gates locked. Ride Lost Trails ATV Park Quote

wylde1 Posted July 24, 2011 #10 Posted July 24, 2011 The Rac pass is pretty much the way to go for guaranteed riding, but you have to get it early in the year. The price is now $125 good from January to January, but if you get it in say October it is still $125 and only good till January. Quote
hangingon Posted July 24, 2011 #11 Posted July 24, 2011 So let me get this right you guys up north have passes you can buy for up to a year to go ride. Are these for one place you can ride at or does it cover more riding areas. At this time i'm mad at my wife she is from Pa. and has not shared this news with me about the atv riding up north. So the next time she tries to get me to go to Pa. for a vacation I can say only if I can take my quad. Just kidding about being mad. Quote

That's right $125 and you can ride over 10,000 acres of old coal mining land. It's insane. You can ride from Trevorton all the way to Centralia and come back a totally different way. It's some good riding and some challenging terrain. Some spots are just darn scary but it's all fun. I was out there every other weekend last year. Haven't made it up much this year due to the new baby coming in April but plan on getting back on the stick in Late August. Quote
hangingon Posted July 25, 2011 #13 Posted July 25, 2011 (edited) Thats great here in georgia we have riding parks it cost around 25.00 & up for a day 9am to 6pm and the one thats about 35mins away has very few atv riding trials it's for dirt bikes. KTM is the on site shop and rentals. Congrats on your new baby and now it's time to start an atv & college fund. My wife is from Mountain Top, Pa. I'v heard alot about Harveys lake and thats about it. Edited July 25, 2011 by hangingon Quote
