Well Mike5469 and I went up to Hale Mi yesterday with much anticipation for our first ride of the year. The weather was perfect, the trails in the morning where icy and a little wet, but we didnt let that slow us down. It felt so good to get on the machines and finally ride when it is not 10 degrees and 10 inches of snow. I cant wait until next time.

Getting Ready to take off

25 miles in to the first destination this tree jumped out in front of Mike and clipped his right rear tire bending the axle. WTF I cant believe that tree didnt look both ways before crossing that trail.

The Damage the tree caused. The best part is Mike was A OK. Just a bruised ego.

ya I am very glad he didnt get hurt. Thats why I am giving him crap because I know it wasnt that bad and he is fine. Plus he had an extra axle at home so shouldnt cost him jusch but time to get it ready to go again.

nope first wreck my quad caught a tree root and sent me flying wish I got that on camera, the one that broke everything I hit a little jump went a little to far into a turn and the tree was in the way. The third time was when we were riding back and the wheel with the busted tie rod dug into the ground and almost sent me flying again.

it's a good thing that you didnt get hurt either, our quads can be fixed or replaced,we can't be replaced and sometimes we are not able to be fixed. I have alaways respected the power of a wheeler, but never have been afarid of them

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

I live about an hour west of Savannah and was wondering if anyone knew of places to ride in this area. Only place I know of is in North Georgia, about 4.5-5 hours from my house. Would like to find something closer.
