I gotta see what brand I have now but I started using motorcycle street gloves. They're made out of leather and some have padding in them which helps with the long rides. Just like Raptor8 said get your gloves tight so your hands won't blister and it'll be more comfortable to hang onto the bars.

i like to buy base ball gloves made by wilson ... they can be bought cheap at walmart in the off season and are usually made of leather ... the mechanix gloves are also a very good choice ... i have raced the iron man here in indiana and they work great with no blisters from either of them ..

Old topic but wanted to share that I just bought a set of these Amazon Basic impact gloves and they are very good. I ordered a large pair last week and paid $5.46, must have been on sale so I couldn't refuse. They are now showing at $9.01 for large but XXL is $6.78 and medium is $6.01. I'm going to keep checking to get some more. They are better than the home depot gloves I bought for more.
