Bombardier, Trax Max, 2003

Having problem with engine idle. Have to run higher RPM to keep it from dieing. Sometimes after running for half hour or so problem gets better, sometimes it doesn't. It just doesn't seem to be running right at low speeds.

Only has 250 miles.

Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks.

I agree about being a problem in the carburetor.

I don't live where it's located is the reason it has no more miles. We're usually there every month and always

run it some while there. I've used fuel stabilizer from day one.

A temporary fix would be nudge up idle speed but there is no adjustment on the carburetor that I can find.

swampcat... you say clean the carburetor. I suppose you mean tearing it down and washing in a cleaner solution?

If that does not work then you need to try to run the motor with the gas cap off. If it runs good with the cap off then it is the vent line that is under the tank that helps it breathe. Just clean that out.

BioWare,

I'll try your suggestion first.

Not sure if this has anything to with it. But I've noticed the fuel 3-way valve doesn't make any difference if it's turn to open

or closed. I once forgot to turn it to open but didn't effect the engine.

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Let's say 3-5 years from now.

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hisun 700 EFI. Replaced TMAP sensor had broken off . Fuel pump pressure 41psi. The only way I can keep it running (and runs fine) is to close off fuel return line.
