I got a friend who welds I just need to see if theirs something to weld to it looks like it may have been repaired once already it's a little bent looking and rusty I think their is some metal missing I know the quad has some used replacement parts on the front but I'm not sure if it's from a crash where the front bumper mounts the bolts are broke off in the frame and I found a few bolts loose on the front. Strut, tie rod and A frame on one side. I have 2 friends that weld. The 1 has an auto body shop & builds rail buggy frames I think he would be the best one to weld it and if it needed some new metal i'm sure he could fix it but I need to see what he says needs to be done and the cost of what he would need to repair it. I also know where there is another frame too I'll have to get a price on it.

I'm waiting to hear back on a frame. And my friend said he will take a look and see if he can weld it. This is the main reason I keep it on the ground were both old enough to break. Quadnut the new Yamaha YZF 450 & raptor 700 looked real good & the new BF with EPS setting on the showroom floor.

ROFL:laugh: thats funny. Glad you weren't hurt Hanginon. It sucks having a broken quad, but they eventually get fixed. Hope it is up and running for you soon.

My buddy looked at it and said it will be no problem to fix. It's close to the vin# on the frame so he suggested we get before and after photos incase a question ever comes up about the vin# looking like soomeone tried sanding it off. I' not sure when he will get to it I hope soon. He saide he wiil make a metal sleve for it and that it may not be as pretty as the factory look but it will be stronger.

Found a frame for 250.00 for 300 he will give me all the parts included would be the motor I need to check that might be a front diff too! I know it has new ball joints & tie rods. He sunk it and now the motors not running right.

Well I'm going to look at the frame for my quad it has front & rear diffs, motor, trans pretty much all there minus cvt belt & plastics wheels which I had already bought from him. He asking 300.00 for it all so I might have parts to make some of my money back on or save them just incase. I may need them.

I'm going to need lots of luck. I'm stuck at this point with it. Looks like the rear swing axle is going to have to come out to get the motor out. I hope I don't have to pull the front diff. The deal paid off a frame and a working front diff. I paid less than I would have paid for the two diff parts Kawasaki said I needed.

Hello everyone, I have a 92 honda trx350 I just picked up that has a bent section of the frame where the rear of the seat would clip into place. It almost looks like a tree or something heavy fell on it. Its a fairly deep bend, if that makes sense. It like a V instead of straight. What are peoples goto methods for straightening a section like that?

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.

I pulled out my Big Bear needed to do a few things probably havent been started in a year. Gassed it up charged the battery started right up. I have been using it around the property for this and that. Went to hook up my trailer to pull up to the house while it was idling it quit. Went to start it turned over but wouldnt start. After trying a few more times lost all power. Pulled it up to the house with the John Deere, the first thing i checked was the Universal fit soloenoil from Amazon and it was only a 10 AMP fuse so it does not universally fit the big bear it should be 30 AMP fuse. At the time i remember noticing it but forgot, at the time i had other problems like wiring harness being in a box stuck engine and no spark. when i bought it, yeah i know, thats one ishould have walked away from, but if i go to the trouble of hooking up my trailer and going there, its following me home.
Thats old news, i still need to check it all out see if it lost spark and see if the starter shorted out it was acting kind of sluggish, i replaced the fuse with the spare 10 amp and blew immediately. I will try a 30 and see what happens.

Anyone with experience on relocating the miniscule battery from the front lower center wheel area to the left rear wheel area on the Polaris Sportsman 570?

My 2000 big bear 400 4x4 has 26x10x12 tires in front and 26x12x12 in the rears. Trying to find replacement tires those sizes are hard to find, or, when i do, they cost a lot more than i want to spend.
But, there's a lot of 25" tires out there the same size, just 25" and not 26". If i got the 25" it should not make a difference....right?
