What year? Alot of oil on in exhaust is a sign of a early 80s 2 stroke or the rings may go out soon. There is oil coming through somewhere. Or the guy didn't know how to ride a 2 stroke and didn't keep his RPMs up. -

Keep the shiny side up! Welcome to the site, As long as you do your oil changes along with the filter, clean your air filter and keep your chain at the right tension and lubed this bike will run forever. I change my oil and filter every 3 rides and I clean my air filter every other. I maintain all my off road toys like this. I have a 1981 Yamaha IT 465 that STILL screams. Keep up on your fluid and the quad will last forever. Anything else? PS I'm actually in Jackson Hole right now. Not to far from you.

It is times like this that we need to pull together for our fellow riders. TX is going to get some Fund Raising Account info for us. I know it is easier to look the other way. Someday you may need a hand from someone else, help comes from the place you would least expect it. Everyone reach into pockets and help out. 5 bucks is more than you would know for a family in need.

I have all the respect in the world for you old guys. My dad's 50, not that old, but he can pass me at anytime he wants to sitting down. About 15 years ago my dad did the Baja 1000 on a bike. He and his teammates went into the race all cocky because they were the top 4 desert racers in AZ. They finished, averaged about 67 MPH. Johnny Campbell's team took 1st and averaged about 95 MPH.
