  1. Thanks for the manual, coming in handy!
  2. Spins freely both ways like not engaged. Its been parked and did crank the other day but never started. Cranked a few times and then started to do this free spinning. Its odd to me too, almost thought it had something to do with the way it was parked. I pushed it in gear to move the flywheel a bit and see, but same scenario.
  3. The gear you see there which engages with the starter...I can spin it freely with my finger.
  4. Agree with @Frank Angerano and @JacobSlabach, what's the year and model of ATV?
  5. Thanks, that's what I'm thinking. Gonna put the starter back in and I guess take the cover off this week to see what's going on.
  6. Topic title updated with issue and moved to Suzuki ATV forum 😁
  7. I took the starter out and the gear looks good. Also jumped it direct (too lazy to take it to a bench...) I'm leaning on the starter clutch. 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 Starter Test.mp4
  8. Might be a bad head gasket.
  9. I tried jumping it with the car...same. 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 Jump Start.mp4
  10. I tried that as well, going to try it again. It’s spinning though. Usually when a starter lands on a dead spot it won’t do anything, but when you tap it you move it just enough to make a connection.
  11. It's above 12V and on drain never goes too low...see video: 2004 Yamaha Grizzly Starter Battery Drain Test.mp4 I am really not in the mood to take anything apart...lol. Its times like this I wish I had a 12v booster back or a charge with an engine boost option!
  12. Pretty cool with all that fog, can't get better social distancing than that!
  13. Disconnected the plow yesterday on my 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 and am getting ready to do some riding yesterday and the battery went weak, Starter cranked a few times but week. Put my trickle charger on that I bought and went to the garage today to start it up, but the starter is just spinning and not engaging. The solenoid is clicking. The pull start sucks and is hard to pull (never use it and need to look into that). Quick video of the starter spinning. Could it be the starter or the starter clutch one-way bearing? I guess I need to take the cover off to see what's going on. 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 Starter Spinning.mp4
  14. @Steven Urban welcome to QUADCRAZY! @Frank Angerano gives the best advice as usual!

  16. yeah this is the only one I see out there but its a scanned copy http://www.dinlisales.com/docs/Dinli - DL-601, DL-603 Service Manual.pdf There is one for $18 or so at emanuals: https://www.emanualonline.com/Powersports/ATV/Dinli/DL-601/Dinli-Dl_601-DI_603-ATV-Workshop-Service-Repair-Manual.html
  17. Does it rev out in forward? Did it go through any water? Like @Frank Angerano said, check the belt..
  18. You should start a new topic in the forum 😁
  19. Welcome to QUADCRAZY and congrats on the king quad! I'm not aware of specific issues and as long as its been maintained, it should provide years of use for you. Make sure you use ATV/4 stroke specific oil. Here is the service manual:
  20. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  21. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  22. That's interesting that they were loose like that, someone must have been in there.
  23. Washing after every ride with a pressure washer will be the best but if you want, you can apply a coating on your plastic plastic like this available on amazon or superatv.com
  24. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Like @Frank Angerano , I’m another NY’er myself
