I need some advice on my 700 kingquad. I recently went out into some deep water (not sure if this is the issue or not) I did not submerge past the seat all the way, however I did wheelie out of it with the back end submerged for 5 seconds. I realized after I did this that you could hear the engine going up in rpm's but there was no power to the wheels after a point. You could only hear the whailing of the engine. Could someone lead me in the right direction... basic knowledge would be to check air filter, belt housing for water, spark plug. Otherwise I am at a loss. Thanks in advance!

I would look into all the fluids, oils etc see if any water got into the crankcase or through the air filter and any other oil filled parts of the bike, maybe change the fluids anyway just to be safe.  Only other thing ithats left is electronics check all the plugs maybe open them up and use a leaf blower to clear any residual water from the fuse block and all electronic parts.

Your revs going up  and no drive  power to the wheels was because your  CVT transmission belt  and clutches got wet.  It  doesn't take a  lot of water  entering the housing and wetting the  belt to  make it slip .  CVT transmissions  drive on the  sides of the  drive  belt .. Since the  clutches  are  smooth, they  lose  grip  on the  belt when  wet ..As soon  as  the clutches  and  belt   start drying they  regain their  grip.  A  worn belt  will  slip  much quicker than a new one since it is narrower  due to the  wear  on the sides as it  is  used.

Definitely  check all  the  fluids for water that  may  have  entered through the  various vents on the   differentials,  transmission and motor.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I ordered a new air filter, pulled the plug on the housing cover, and checked the fluids. Found a broken sensor leading to the speedometer problem I had as well. Looking forward to getting her back in the woods!

This is exactly what probably happened and has happened to me a few times. There should be a plug to release the water on the bottom of the belt housing. See #4 in the diagram below:

If you need the manual, there is one here:

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

on my honda trx 500 we have no power to the ignition switch for starting or ignition
we have lights and horn working
      all fuses are fine
have traced through the harness and cant find any broken wires or bad connections
from what we have gathered so far the pgm fi unit is not sending any power to the fuel pump relay to power everything up.
if we put power direct to the ignition switch plug then everything works but wth the key in the off position.
does this sound like a faulty pgm fi unit?

I have a 2007 kingquad 450 fuel injection. I try to start it with the hand crank and almost flip over the quad. I have taken the hand crank off and cleaned it but this did not fix the problem. I believe there is a decompression valve that is supposed to engage when pulling it over by hand. How can I check this?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

      I wanted to share a successful workaround for a "no-spark" issue on a 2009 LT-A400.
This is specifically for cases where the CDI has been diagnosed as faulty, but the age or condition of the machine makes the cost of a brand-new OEM unit hard to justify.
Note: This modification compromises the factory “no-start” circuits.
On some malfunctioning CDI units the internally damaged circuitry is only partial.
Feeding full time power to the Parking Brake pin, the unit is triggered to bypass the internal fault and produce a healthy consistent output to the Ignition coil.
      The Modification
See the second diagram attached below for the wiring specifics.
      The Result:
The machine has clocked over 1,000km since this repair and is still running strong with no ignition dropouts.
      ⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING ⚠️
Please be aware that this modification compromises the factory safety "no-start" circuits.
The machine will now start in gear. The safety interlock involving the handbrake is no longer functional. The machine can move unexpectedly if the starter is pressed while in gear. Proceed at your own risk. If you sell the machine or let others ride it, ensure they are fully aware that these factory safety buffers have been removed.
