Hi all!

I live in Alaska and I use ATV's to hunt/fish, collect firewood and pan for gold.  Im looking for a repair manual to work on an old 4 wheeler with my son who wants to fix it up.

Nice to meet you all and I hope the manual is worth this!

Hi. I am new to Quad Crazy. We live in South Africa and have 4 ATVs which we ride in the Drakensberg mountains. All are different Yamahas. Big bear, Warrior, Timberwolf and Bruin. I am looking forward to sharing experiences with others on this forum.

Hey....New guy here from Richmond VA. area. We raced Moto X with 125's and 250's (bikes) for years but got a little to old for that.LOL I had a bunch of ATV's over the years and I just bought an old beater Suzuki King Quad for hunting and playing in the woods. It needs a lot of TLC As the two last owners had little regard for anything but just riding the pure living heck out of it. I knew what I had bought and it didn't bother me because I have been a mechanic of some sort all my life and getting a little grease on my hands has never bothered me. You guy's have a fun day.

Hello I just recently came across this site while looking up some info about one of my atv’s. Definitely glad I did! I have always had a love for riding and working on engines in general. Currently I have a Honda 300ex, Kawasaki Lakota 300, and a Polaris Sawtooth 200. Just wanted to say hello to everyone!

Hey guys, I'm Brian.

I have a couple of quads that run, a few that don't, and a couple that aren't exactly "quads" :D

I mostly buy basket cases and salvages for dirt cheap to fix them up.

I'll make a list of my current collection and post it soon

Greetings to all.  New to the forum, but not to ATVing.  I started when they only had 3 wheels!  Getting back into riding.  Polaris 850.  Too many bells and whistles, but what do you do.  Scouting out places to ride legally now.

      Background,
This winter (Dec.) I was plowing and everything just died, just quit.  No lights, no pull start, No nothing.  I've had this problem before and I changed the voltage reg and it ran fine for over a year. Then this.  So I changed it again, thinking this was the same problem.  Tried to start it and a small pin hole in the CDI appeared with electrical smoke.
Months go by and I finally decide to just replace parts (I'm Horrible at electrical issues).  I changed the stator, new CDI, new Voltage reg, new starter solenoid, tested the starter (prefect), charged the battery.
Went to start it and the solenoid rapidly clicked.  All the dash lights on, headlights work.  Pull stared it and it fired right up no issues.  Looked into the rapidly clicking starter solenoid and it was not enough juice in the battery.  Took the battery completely out and hooked up a jump box to it turned the key, light on, everything looks good.  Pushed the starter button and it fired right up ran great.  Turned it off to test it again, Turned the key and nothing.  No dash lights nothing.  Took the jump box off and pulled started it.  Started it right up.  Re-hooked the jump box, still nothing.
      Any Ideas?

Hi all! I'm a new member from northern Saskatchewan. I plan on buying a new ATV and do some exploring in the Precambrian Shield/Boreal Forest this coming Spring.
I hope to learn as much as I can on here before I make a purchase.
      Thanks.
