Decided to go for a ride yesterday (05 Jul 012) .... The day started off cloudy, but it was dry & dusty .... that didn't last long ........ WHAT A GREAT DAY !!! Ya need to listen to the very first part of the video to hear my enjoyment !!

I figured, most people would have left the mountains after the 4th .... boy was I wrong !! ... There were so many freak'in people up there ........ and stupid ones too.

Most of them must have also thought they were the only ones on the mountain, cause I was rid'in easy up this road when some Wingnut came fly'in around a blind corner in his 4 passenger UTV & about took me out !!

Then later after it had been raining for a while, I was going up this trail. It was kinda steep (steeper than it looks in the video BTW), black greasy mountain mud & rocky ... so I was kinda of committed .... I come around these trees & there's three guys parked at the top of the hill .... I was sure they'd move ....... Nope, guess they figured I was a figment of their imagination.

So I go around them to the right ... but there's a burnt stump in my way ... so I head uphill to go around that ... and it's on a slope ... turn downhill towards the trail & there's a downed tree in the way ... & I have my wheels cranked downhill ... when I hit that I was sure I'd roll so I just kept the throttle twisted .... made it .... then there was another log in the grass ... I didn't want to hit it going to fast because on the other side the trail is narrow & falls away down a slope (it doesn't appear like that in the video, but trust me, it did) .... so I slowed down just a little ... and got high centered. After a couple seconds one of the Yo-Yo's comes over & helps push me over the log .... and I still dang near went over the side of the trail !!

The rest of the ride was just wet & slippery & the Interco Reptiles just clawed up & over stuff like it was noth'in !!

Saw Moose, deer, skeeters & some SQUIRREL !!!.......... and way to many people for my liking I might add !!

Here's the video, hope you enjoy it ....

there are pay offroad parks here in south ms to ride, they are terrible with disrespectful dangerous yahoos to ride by, i dont like taking my son there, also i dont like to pay 30bucks to play in mud when i can do it for free in an abandoned gravel pit 8 miles north of me or some of the best mud an water trails i have ever rode 12 miles south of the house, and the biggest plus, the free places everyone is respectful of other riders, always family friendly fun, going to the one south of my house tomorrow, anyone close enough to ride anytime day or night this weekend msg me for my number, i will gladly act like a trail guide

Dang, that's cool you live so close to where you can ride. The nearest place I can ride is about 45 miles away (one way) ... the trip for the ride in this video was about 115 miles one way .... so MOST the time, I spend almost as much time gett'in to the riding spot & returning home, as I do actually rid'in my bike !! ... :drivingc: ... however ... it is big open country out here, so it's all good !! :woot:

I know where you are coming from on that one. The place I wheeled, between lifted trucks and quads, for almost 20yrs decided to go permit only. They even went as far as to tell people "if you have a permit and catch someone who does not riding, you get your next year for free". That turned everyone into bounty hunters and I haven't ridden there since they started it. I find my own places, ride myself, and fly under the radar. I consider myself and ATV FREErider, with the main part staying FREE.

if my back and my big toy is ready for competition in a few months i will go to one of the parks to compete in mudfest, other than that i have no use of wasting money to enter and on fuel to ride further to ride, i am freerange rider myself, elcheepo thats me

there is thousands of acres of paper company and goverment land in south mississippi, there is just entirely too much free riding to make someone rich to ride, these places dont need to charge so much to ride, they charge for everything, water, air, recovery, riding, food, camping, everything cost extra, the entry fee only covers the machine with one rider, nothing is included except a hard time

i would hate to live that far away from trails, i would end up making my own,,,,, oops , lol

Well, that's just the way it is out West ... unless you live right next to the National Forest or the desert !!

But we're so use to it, it's no biggie. Heck, the furthest I've driven for a one day ride was about 210 miles one way !! But the way gas is now, if I got that far now, I want to stay a few days ....... SAVVY !!?? :woot:

I took this video back in 2007. Recently the trail (old railroad grade) I was riding was converted into a walking trail (obviously no more ATV riding on it) 👎 I dug up this old video and put it together since it shows the entire section and what it used to look like. The quality of the video is lacking, but this was from 18 years ago. Image stabilization didn't exist back then so I wore the camera on my helmet. (mounted to the quad was useless with all the shaking) so there is some annoying frames of me looking around. I noted any historical items from the railroad in the video. There is a section where the railroad grade is wiped out due to erosion so I had to jump off it and ride an abandoned road for a section to get around it.

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.

Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years.
He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year.
I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days
But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing)
Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20%
I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle
