    I don't see who would care. They do make you put the number of cc's your motor is on the ticket that you sign up with...and they use the same ticket for all AMA sanctioned events, so, I'm not sure if there is a requirement as far as how big a motor can be...I'll see if I can find that out for you, but, the only thing they really test for at the race is the sound/noise that your exhaust puts off. If it's too loud, they'll sit you out races until you get it quieter... **goin to search for the motor stuff now**

    What I think you're getting at is harescramble racing....the main series is the GNCC series...but nearly every state/region of the US has a series....we've raced the Mid-South Series here in TN, they race in TN, KY, IN, IL, AL areas...in May we'll start racin the WNYOA series in NY, most races are in NY, but some are in PA too. As far as classes in harescrambles, you can race any size quad in any class...most are 400ex's or 450's....some people have 300ex's or the Raptors, but most series have an age requirement of 16 years, so most quads are the bigger cc models....and the races take place in the woods, some have good field sections too, but mostly you're in the woods for 1 1/2 -2 hours.... does that help?

    awww, so do we....in about 4 years, when we're both ready, and I'm ready to ride at turtle pace while being pregnant, until then we'll spend our days "practicing" for the right time.. and Momma, YOU'RE CRAZY, how do you get to really enjoy life?? Kudos to you for being so strong.... Powermadd: Lucky duck. I wish I had school 4 hours a day. I used to go from 7:30 and get home whatever time sports practice or games were done, sometimes I didnt' get home until 10:30 at night if we had far away games....

    Yeah, no kidden Kristin, great way to get to know ppl better!!! I'm definitely looking forward to my new job in NY....but I won't be on here during the days anymore, only nights. Someday, NEWAC, I want to be a stay at home mommy, when we're ready for the kiddies...

    and to think, we just got over the car/truck fight. :laugh:i bet you'll be on the couch again tonight bahahahaahahaha:wink: how about 8:00pm eastern..that would be 7:00pm central for me....mountain-ers would be 6:00pm, and pacific would be 5:00...is that going to be ok?

    my honey's a sweetie, and a cutie, and being so small, he rocks on the quad...he's 140 pounds soaking wet plus, being so small, we save a lot of money on his gear!!!! although he has been through 3 helmets in the past two years.... actually, one of the helmets we got from rockymountain, it was the torq brand, and when he broke his visor, i couldnt find one to replace it on the website, or anywhere for that matter....in the customer reviews i stated that, not even 2 weeks later they had shipped me a new one for NO CHARGE... now that's GREAT customer service if you ask me!!!!

    the big prizes come when you race a whole series. if you participate a lot in a race series, they're more apt to give you better "prizes." so, to get the good stuff, find a decent series to race, and stick with it, the whole season...have fun with it!!!

    watch out world. TB's nearly on the loose. Maybe you won't be on here so much?? Get out of the house, off the computer, be constructive on the quad? Less gabbin more action?? Thennnnn maybe you can get out there and ride, if you keep your butt outta trouble that is.

    I'm torn. I love MX and Harescramble racing equally... MX: When you're jumping those killer doubles, or even tabletops, and you catch so much air, you get this feeling of freedom....and confidence, like hell yeah I jumped and landed that. Plus, people see the entire race from start to end....you get a lot of support that way...butt if you mess up, and crash, they all see that too.....which, actually if you need an ambulance, it's better to wreck in mx than gncc... Harescrambles: The start doesn't really matter...you can have the worst start ever, but the race is atleast an hour and a half long, and people are bound to hit trees, get stuck in the mud, blow a tire, break parts..get tired and slow down...so you can usually catch up if everything goes smooth for you...the downside is, you're running 8-14 mile laps, and you hardly ever see people. And when you do see people, you get this little bit of juice in your bones and you sometimes make mistakes trying to show your skills.....not that that's ever happened to me or anything:biggrin:

    The parts that are interchangeable are things like bumpers, nerf bars, possiby a-arms....not like engine mods. Pretty much anything other than motor components.

    We have TWO PS2's....one in the living room, one in the TRUCK! Yup, built it into the GPS system so we can play games and watch movies on the long trips!! My new favorite thing is Rock Band....but right now it's in NY....I'll play it next week finally, I've missed it. I want to play the new MX vs. ATV

    My thoughts and prayers are with you.....and what Bot said, that makes total sense. Sometimes when you lose the one you love, it's hard to live without them, and your heart aches so bad for them, it just gives out. Its like the body knows when its time to give up, when its best for us to go...have faith and put your trust in God....he won't ever let you down.

    ME TOO! I pray every morning to God as I'm on my way to work for the life I have...it may not be the best life, I may not make a bazillion dollars...I may not get to ride my quad as much as I'd like, but I have the most amazing relationship with the man of my dreams, and I have a doggie who loves me unconditonally.. I'm thankful that I get to wake each morning and not be homeless, starving, and jobless....

    Bot, that was almost as sweet as the vows my husby read to me that he wrote on our wedding day... Hey, is that something you to are going to do? You totally should..... Anywho, LilDaisy...soon enough you'll be done, and much more satisfied with what you have...and even more excited to ride because you put so much time in....     :biggrin:you're too much for all of us:laugh: anywho, that sounds like one heck of a wreck Bot.. One time, I tried to land this double while we were racing indoor......buttt, at the last second I got scared and slammed the brakes, and cased the jump hard... I flipped over my handlebars, then my quad proceeded to run my right arm over while I was on the ground....guess I should have had my kill switch hooked up.
