What boots do you ride with and why??
Stoopidbot1 replied to dirtjunkie85's topic in General ATV Discussion
Look up brands like Answer, Fox, Thor, MSR... They will all have a lower cost boot. Keep in mind these boots take a bit to break in, and expect to pay at least $120. I personally would not trust anything cheaper. -
The quad was 100% stock there. Not even a new bumper!
-
Desert style, fast pace a few small jumps. Lot's of getting sideways through turns.

Tagels, Core is a great place if you wanna give racing a try...

I love my Comp 5's. If you can flip the bill, Sidi and Gaerne are probably the best on the market. -
All of the Honda sport quads, except the 700XX are carbed. KTM's quads are also carbed.

This is not the proper way to decend a hill...

Some of the races I do have dead engine starts. The Carb machines fire up faster than the FI machines. That means a lot when you're trying to be the 1st off the line.
-
I like Carbs, very simple to work on. Reliable and doesn't cost $300 to adjust for aftermarket parts.

need help decidin to get a 400 or 450
Stoopidbot1 replied to trailridinqueen's topic in General ATV Discussion
EFI is just a pain in the but. plus Carb's perform better. Definitely test ride. I know that when I rode a 400 I was always wanting more speed. -
Rabbit Valley is on the Colorado/Utah Border. You take I-70 east to exit 2. Go South over the overpass and you are there.

I'm telling ya, Rabbit Valley is a must...

I really need to get riding... Gotta find something to keep the wife occupied

Yep, just call Rocky Mountain ATV and give them all of the info you used to order the stuff. I have a good friend that went through the process. You just pay shipping to and from, they will send you a brand new one. -

Ice racing at rainbow falls

The Hinson and the Rekluse are completely different. With the Rekluse, you can lock up your rear tires with no clutch and it won't stall. Hinson is a regular clutch made for extreme conditions. to different animals. -

Suzuki ltr 450 aftermarket axle

The best is probably Lonestar's or Durablue. But I use G Force, half the price of the others, same materials, adjustable, and it has a lifetime warranty against bends or breaks -
I'm not sure, I posted this back in 2008. I have actually seen one at the dunes. No a bad looking machine and it can hang with the other 450's.

My number plates added 4 hp... LOL

Just number plates add a whole new look to the quad
