  1. I was talkin about Desert Hawk. Welcome to you too though!
  2. HA! I've had more than one conversation with Desert Hawk on ATV Pathfinder too. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer, more knowledgeable guy. I'd say welcome to the site, but you've been a member here longer than I have.
  3. Welcome aboard!!!
  4. I was able to get a manual for my sons '02 YZ85 from Rockymountain. Factory manual, not a clymer or anything, and they had it in stock.
  5. Hey, I didn't mean to exlude any non-californians. Anyone is welcome, it'd just be a pretty long drive...
  6. Got an itch that needs scratchin. Time for a little dirt therapy. I'm gettin some this weekend.
  7. Any Californians feel like headin to Hollister this weekend? Last chance to ride for a few weeks so I better take advantage of it. Gonna try and get there Friday afternoon. I'm sure it'll be crowded.
  8. :wideeyed:WOW! Thats hittin' a little close to home!
  9. Sorry to hear that Chris. Mine is an 05 I bought new and haven't had a lick of trouble with it. The only things I've had to fix were things I broke myself. A new LTR would be cool though!
  10. Craigslist is only as reliable as the person placing the ad. Use good judgement and common sense when making a purchase. I've had good luck with them. Sold 2 bikes and a quad and bought a bike off craigslist. It's just a modern version of a classified ad. Welcome to Quadcazy by the way!.
  11. Did you charge the new battery? If it will start with a charger hooked up, it sounds like your battery isn't fully charged.
  12. If your talking about the fuel valve, down is on, forward is off, and up is reserve.
  13. Was it the hominy and collard greens that gave him away? OK I'll bite. Wheeler, wth is "dirty santa?"
  14. Before you go buying alot of parts, check a few simple things. Pull the carb and clean it . Check the jets and make sure they're clean. I'd assume it's been jeted with a K&N and a pipe, but if the pilot isn't a 42, get one. That'll help with the cold start. Pull the petcock on the tank and clean that as well. There's a little screen that will clog. The ticking is normal. Mine has done it since it was new. If it's real bad, you may need to adjust your valves. Enjoy your new ride! The 400ex is a great machine.
  15. VOTE YELLOW IN '08!!!!!
  16. If it works out, valve adjustments are easy peasy on these. I just did mine. There's nice illustrated step by step instructions on exriders.com.
  17. Uh oh..... Wheeler just closed the gap! Anyone else notice the surge in new female members from New York?
  18. How did Motosport get left out? They are an advertiser on this site!!! I use them, Rockymountain, and Bikebandit. All three have great service.
  19. While I think this is a great idea, I believe there could be some devastating repurcussions. Do you think anyone wants to see TomD or BuckBilly or MWKE in a bikini???
  20. Welcome Mike! ATVing is a great family activity. Riding with my kids has been some of the best bonding times we've ever had.
  21. :amstupid:Doh!!! Where's the Homer Simpson smiley? Well I STILL wouldn't ride one!
  22. I thought you fell into the flip flop and G-string catagory!
  23. Well, it's pretty obvious that this board needs more fast, hard riding, daredevil types like Bot, Wheeler, MWKE, and myself. One thing I've learned is that the older you get, the longer it takes for those bumps and bruises to quit hurttin.
  24. I think I'd be a little hesitant to ride anything called a kneeslider.
  25. Now if I'm riding in the sand, helmet, flip flops, and a G-string. Oh the freedom...
