Let's hear your thoughts and why. I own both and 2 strokes have the top end power. 4 strokes have that low bottom that's good for trails. Of course maintenance is different and parts costs is different. Let's hear why you choose one over the other. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

He has gotten the head off. The cylinder sleeve is on the bike. That's what I see from his pictures. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -

The adjuster nut has to be taken off. With the valve stem remover. They come out from the piston side. At least that's the one I used. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
Yeah no kidding. At least I know what I'm doing with machines. If something breaks then it's a clean platform and I know what's done. I gave this kid all the papers for the banshee build. All the way down to the torque specs. But he has his hands full. He doesn't even know about simple things. Like what oils to use or how to adjust the clutch. He is clueless. Karma sucks for him. He texts me all the time asking questions. I tell him to figure it out. I can't hold his hand. That's now his quad. LEARN IT. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

So I traded my worked banshee for a supposed to be kfx400 with a 440 kit and hot cams with yoshimura pipe. Well I overlooked it now and came to the conclusion that it's a stock quad with a pipe. How do I know you ask? The cylinder jug has 2 bars on it and every other has 3 for the big bore. He only jetted the carb not buy the new one that's supposed to be bigger. The cams are stock. After pulling the cover off. And it's slower than the banshee. Now that's why I won't believe anything this kid says. Sh**. He doesn't even know how to mix oil to gas. Has no clue how 2 strokes even work. Can't figure out how to jet for temp changes. But I guess I'll be happy with what I have. The point is. Don't trust people when buying bikes. Most are that short. It really depends on what you want. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

The problem with splicing wires is yes it will work. Dont submerge it in water or you will short it out and possibly blow that electronic. But to test and make it run will work. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Take the stator out and see which wires go where. Or just buy a stator and be done with it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Can't wait Frank. I have a few parts from a Mojave if you need them. I have the service manual for that quad too. Let me know if you need something. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Why not just splice it and leave it together. All you need is a soldering iron and shrink tube Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk It's not like you hitting the start button without hitting the clutch. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

There should be dots on the timing gears to line up with the head. Make sure your at top dead center on the intake stroke with the piston. There should be a mark on the flywheel to line up as well. Take the timing chain adjuster and loosen it so your timing chain jumps teeth on the cams. Then roll your cams to spec. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Piston rings and valve adjustment. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk Is it a knock or a tap. If it's a knock. You have to do crank bearings. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

It's really not that hard. We will walk you thru. Take pics and watch YouTube. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
Let's start here. What wiring harnesses do you have and what's on them. Give in details. Example: full harness uncut and the one on the machine has the stator wires cut and no ignition but the cdi and relays are different. You need colors of wires and knowledge of which harnesses you have. I used a kx motor with Yamaha electronics. On a Suzuki frame. It's possible. I would also check the quality of your filter boot and intake boot for cracks, ect. Make sure they are all tight. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
I have a few. One is 160+ acres all hunting and another place that's 120 roughly that's for trails and wide open fields. Both I know the property owners. Ellenville is 20 to 30 minutes away Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

No harm no foul. That bike started as a 100. Now it's a Kawasaki 250cc. With Honda bars and Yamaha electronics. But im. Pushing 39 and still ride. Where upstate do you go. I live in ny Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
