  1. I have never used it but the guys i know that do, said they never had a problem with that.
  2. Good! Always like to hear about neglected machines getting back on the road Those older foremans are great machines,
  3. I know the feeling, just had a bad storm last night, just barely got it cleaned up from the last one, now do it all over again, Tornados hit just a few hrs south complete destruction in a few areas.
  4. Super Tech from WaMart may be cheaper i have never used it but others i know who have used it say its good.
  5. Work or play, quads make it better. Nothing like feeling the raw power in such a small package.
  6. I think i would have to say either the Honda Rancher or the Foreman hard time picking between the two.
  7. Glad you got it going, those switches can be troublesome sometimes working and other times not.
  8. Sorry to hear! Hope it gets better.
  9. Surprized there is not an aftermarket version for that have you tried Amazon.
  10. I generally use the Rotella T4 non synthetic the T6 synthetic version is good. I also use the Valvoline wet clutch oil from walmart mart, probably the best, but they are all good,
  11. Kawasaki Super Sherpa, love that bike, the most fun bike to ride.
  12. I agree at first you just see lines diagrams and color codes that dont make sense once you look at them long enough and hard enough everything begins to come together.
  13. Parts can be fairly model specific on rtheses older machines i would look closely at the photos of the new old one and see if it is the same, may have to visit a salvage yard and look around other than that try to get the old one welded or refabricated by a machinist.
  14. Very nice park, i really like the list of precaution and essentials needed for the trip.
  15. Thanks for sharing! Looks like you had a great time.
  16. Sorry! I read it wrong, thought you were still having problems after plugging it, hopefully the new petcock will solve the issue, i ended up replacing all of mine with the manual ones. I like running all the gas out of the carb when its not going to be used for a while. The only reason i can think for the vacuum one is if they are working properly, nothing to think about, just get on choke it and push the start button, same with automatics much simplier get on give it gas and go.
  17. Thats good, easy to find parts.
  18. Not sure how that happened with the vacuum port plugged, and new needle and seat, but im still thinking about it.
  19. It should be minimal seepage past the rings unless it is completely just pouring in there. You know its not getting in through the vacuum line. So i would take another look at the carb replace the needle and seat and make sure float height is correct.
  20. Great the electric shift can be troublesome, glad you found one, would have never thought to look at Wal Mart
  21. Great day for riding sun is shining going to be 80 today just makes you want to go to the woods and play in the creek.
  22. Looks like a great place to ride!
  23. I ran one for a while in the prime position when no fuel would go through the on or reserve position, and eventually replaced it with a manual one, off reserve on and plugged the vacuum line, i did this because i like to run all the gas out of the carb before i store it.
  24. What you have is a vacuum operated petcock in the prime position the fuel flows freely it the on position engine needs to be running pulling a vacum for fuel to flow.As they age the vacuum parts get hard and dont work well. The last problem i had with one it wouldnt run on on but would run on prime ran it for a while that way and finally replaced it. As far as the fuel getting into the cylinder it sounds like the fuel is leaking past the needle and seat or float level not correct i would check that, now it could be getting in through the vacuum hose if the diaphragm in the petcock is cracked.
