  1. I think you are on the right track, rebuild that carb and check timing. Spark is good because its running and I'm assuming you have no air restriction, right? Air filter is clean?
  2. I think you need to troubleshoot it to see why its not starting and first thing I would do is check all fuses and wiring to see why the display will not light up. Then I would check ignition assuming you aren't getting anything when trying to start it. Need more info here to better understand where you are with this.
  3. Sounds like a bad battery to me.
  4. We've got Bayou 220 and 250 here: https://www.quadcrazy.com/files/category/6-kawasaki-atv/ but no 300.
  5. So you did a compression test after you repaired the crack? The plug looked ok?
  6. I just uploaded the repair manual below. Look on page 103 for a wiring diagram that may be able to help you. 😁 * Added ATV info to topic title.

Welcome to QUADRAZY! There are some links in this thread for VINs
  16. Hello Ed, have you checked for fuel? Did this quad sit at all for an extended period of time? I have seen the carbs corrode up and cause issues with fuel delivery. I would take the carb apart and check the float operation, make sure the float pin isn't stuck. Make sure your fuel petcock isn't causing and issue with fuel delivery. You want to check spark, fuel, and then timing. * Moved topic to Kawasaki forum.
  17. That's going to be tough to identify because there are so many variations of chinese quads out there. Are there any tags, serial numbers? * Moved topic out of announcements forum to other ATV brands forum.
  18. yes in my opinion you can't go wrong with a Honda. If its used, just make sure it wasn't beat on too much. * Moved topic to Honda forum.
  19. Has anyone been to Lost Trails ATV Adventures park recently? http://www.ridelosttrails.com/default.php I was looking at their site and they have rental tours and bring your own machine. Any feedback?
  20. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! I was going to say lost trails in dunmore, pa because i was looking at that myself to go one day http://www.ridelosttrails.com/guided-tours.php rent or bring your own machine. Take a look at the regional sections https://www.quadcrazy.com/atvforum/77-northeast-atv-off-road-forum/
  21. That's pretty crazy, great video!
  22. I have not but they are on Amazon also so I would compare price and reviews before buying 😁 https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=NEW+MASSFX+ATV+TIRES+&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3ANEW+MASSFX+ATV+TIRES+
  23. That's interesting that they want to pull the head off and suggest boring it out already. I'm assuming they took a look at timing, fuel, spark, etc. Unless it ran without oil or overheated, I wouldn't start opening the motor. Have they run a compression test? As far as how much to put into an ATV, I would look at book value vs how much you have invested with the purchase of the ATV and then how much it would cost you to get another one. Looks liek that machine is valued around $2k and if you cant get another one for $1k, I would probably fix it. http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycles/2003/Polaris/SPORTSMAN-500-H-O-499cc/Values If it's going to be around $2k, you may want to look for another machine for $2k and sell this one as is for $500 to $1000 or so to make up some money.
