2003 Honda 400EX headlight problem
marioweldinginc replied to marioweldinginc's topic in Honda ATV Forum
Autozone doesnt have em. At this point i might as well go to a dealer. 34 bux for 2 bulbs. here is why... shipping! any genuine honda place charges 15 dollars or more for shipping on each bulb! -
Can you store stuff in your hand? Maybe ask for a zipper?

They have one tab which makes em not sit perfectly flush. I might take that tab off. I dont have a factory bulb to compare the two. I do know the dealer charges 17 per bulb and i bought these for 1.50 each You might be right maybe one is only touching the low beam terminal and the other is touching the highbeam terminal. When i get the tires back on i will take the front off and make sure everything is making contact. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -

That was the route i was gunna go. I was hoping someone would of seen this before and say hey dummy dont use ebay lightbulbs Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -
I finally got around to installing my headlight bulbs among other atv chores. One head light bulb blew and the other came apart. I ordered 2 bulbs from ebay but the seller had mostly positive feedback. After my chores and lastly putting in the bulbs the left side is low beam only and the right side is high beam only. What am I missing?? The bulbs appeared to have 2 filaments. I have the wiring diagram in front of me and it shows one wire for low and one wire for hi and then the two bulbs are wired in parallel. so if one is on low the other one is too and vice versa. The quad is in the tow vehicle and isnt easy to move because I have no rims on it. When I put them on ill take the front plastic off. For now anyone have any idea?? Ebay Bulbs? Wiring? ground?

Nice. I worked at a Ford dealership for about 8 years. We would constantly bend the warranty rules and go above and beyond. Unfortunatly people would start taking advantage of the owners generousity. Towards the end of my time there everything was by the book and we ended up with alot of unhappy but loyal customers. So i do understand why dealers do what they do. A warranty claim on a Ford is such a hassle. I have been interogated yes interogated by Ford warranty reps as to how the work was done or what were the steps to do tje job. Any wrong answers and the job was denied and I wasnt paid for that job. On the flip side, the owner would take up the slack and pay us.:thumbup: Also i know crossbay motorsports by me never uses the same salseman so you arent going to build up a relationship with this dealer. Its how much can they get in an instant then move on to the next sucker Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -

I gues it depends if you like atvs or not. The dealers around me have a sales staff that arent there very long. They probably were selling used cars or vinyl siding before atvs. I met one owner of Formula One Motorsports. Very accomidating and friendly.... The rest of the sales staff ... Not so much. Maybe I should ask for a t shirt ??!?! Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk -
