  1. if anyone is anywhere near south mississippi, come to exit 31 (canal rd) on interstate 10, the parking area can hold about 300 trucks with trailers, it is approx half mile south of interstate, ITS FREE !!! you dont have to be snorkeled (but it greatly helps) there is deep water, sloppy mud, so many trails there is no way possible to ride em all in one day, almost all bad holes has ways around em if you not set up to take deep water, anyone interested msg me for my phone number to set up times, i ride with one local crew for day rides, an another for night rides, or anytime with just my son and me alone in the woods, open 24/7/365 rain or shine, been riding there almost 20 years, have never seen the bottom of most of these holes, the main trails are big enough for trucks, not many trucks at all can make it though, mostly atv an utv riding, i will gladly be a trail guide totally free, like i said i been riding there forever and there are still trails i havent seen, the trails go from exit 34 to exit 1 probably a couple thousand miles of trails zigzag through these wetlands, its been open for as long as i can remember, rules of the road here, if you bring it in you bring it out!! dont cross paved roads if you see a cop coming (unless you want to run for it and dissappear in the woods) i dont know anything bout that though, lmao , then in McHenry ms, there is abandoned gravel pit just off highway 49 south end of stone county, free, also in same area,(pay to ride) sand hill atv park, online for details, sandhillatv.com. in wiggins ms a lil further north is another paid park, really nice one, red creek offroad, online redcreekoffroad.com
  2. there are pay offroad parks here in south ms to ride, they are terrible with disrespectful dangerous yahoos to ride by, i dont like taking my son there, also i dont like to pay 30bucks to play in mud when i can do it for free in an abandoned gravel pit 8 miles north of me or some of the best mud an water trails i have ever rode 12 miles south of the house, and the biggest plus, the free places everyone is respectful of other riders, always family friendly fun, going to the one south of my house tomorrow, anyone close enough to ride anytime day or night this weekend msg me for my number, i will gladly act like a trail guide
  3. dont waste the money on a shop, just msg me an i will give you my number, i can walk you through getting it going
  4. stopped up carb, went through this on a honda rancher not long ago, just removed fuel injection on an 05 king quad, replaced with carb, i know fuel systems pretty good, if you are getting fuel all the way to carb an nothing spraying out of jets then you have a blockage in the carb
  5. me too, everyone usually tries to make me go first cause they know my bikes are submarines. my honda 2wd will go through more than some of the 4x4s around here
  6. thank u, i can ride my big one a lot easier than the hondas. my suzuki king quad has soft suspension, an power steering, i dont go to the places anymore to haul as*, the places i ride now average speed is less than 5mph, there is one spot on the trail that you dont see dry ground for 2 miles, average depth of water is 3 feet deep, anybody makes it to south mississippi get with me and i will show you through the swamps
  7. thank you, i will definately be back riding, as of now i can still ride in the mudbogs, just cant do any hard riding or jumps, guess its a good thing all my toys are set up for deep water and mud
  8. thank you guys, you cant keep down for long, im too stubborn, it started from a wreck years ago, then recently i rolled my honda 4x4, hurt myself pretty good, didnt give myself time to get over it and just kept pushing myself too far, now i gotta have something done to try to fix it
  9. Thanks guys, I gotta have surgery to fuse 4 vertebrae, today gonna be my last ride for a while
  10. well , riding plans have changed. everybody meeting at my house tomorrow, after bbq we gonna have a convoy of quads on the road riding to the gravel pit thats bout 8 miles north of my house, this will be my last real offroad ride day for a while, going in for surgery on my back, hopefully i will be back in the saddle real quick
  11. cool deal, if they know anything bout the area they will know right where its at, exit 31 on I10, bout half mile south of interstate, canal road, there miles of trails going through some deep water and sloppy mud, im loading my toys up now, going to dr then the woods
  12. anybody near south mississippi that wants to go riding msg me, we putting a crew together now to hit the trails, going to be riding just south of interstate 10, if you are interested be forewarned that you will need your quads set up for deep water and mud, i will be bringing 06 honda rancher 2wd snorkled an sitting on 27 inch gators, and an 05 suzuki king quad 700 4x4 also snorkled and sitting on 28 inch mudlite
  13. i got tired of messing with the fuel injection on my 05 king quad 700, i done away with the throttle body, installed a carb, i have not had a minutes trouble since, used to be scared to ride the bike cause it would be likely to shut down on you any minute, now you hit the starter button and it fires right up, an runs great
  14. thats a nice bike, its just not for my taste, i prefer jacked up, big tires, and deep mud, i will show this listing to a friend later this afternoon
  15. i dont think im gonna be able to ride anymore sitting up on a quad, i messed my back up pretty good, gotta go get fitted for back brace tomorrow, anybody that may be interested in making a trade msg me
  16. i decided to leave the original tank and fuel pump on the bike, it is not hooked to the engine, i put 12 feet of fuel hose on the pump, use a bolt in the end of the hose to keep trash out, whenever my small tank im running the bike on runs out all i gotta do is pull the hose out of the rear storage box, stick it in the tank an turn on the pump. should be able to refuel bout two an a half times without leaving the woods or having to walk out to get gas, an if anybody on the trail needs gas i can hook em up with enough to get outta the woods with
  17. hows it going, im new here myself, joined just a couple days ago, so far i have talked with some good people on here
  18. thank you, now my wife doesnt have to ride on my bike, she can take the honda rancher sitting on 27 inch gator paddles. i can take the 700, its a lot more fun in the deep mud when you have the bike to yourself, im taking the 700 out to the gravel pit by my house, see how it does in real conditions before i take it to the real trails
  19. im really glad this worked too, the process was extremely simple, i am fabricating the permanent intake set up now, what i used to test the idea was a couple pieces of 1 1/2 pvc, now this is not the way im leaving it, so dont laugh at my rigging, i just made it quick and simple to see if it would work or not. first off remove the factory air box and throttle body, then remove the butterfly flap out of the throttle body, bevel the end of a piece of pvc and hammered it into the top of the throttle body, then put a 90 on it, then another short piece of pipe, finally attach the carb to the end of the pipe, ( if you have a vertical carb you can just put it straight on the original mount) i used a horizontal carb, i just temporarily strapped the gas tank off my rancher on the front rack and run the fuel line, run the snorkle pipe up, install k n air filter on top, put a cap over the filter to stop the mud from getting in it. my permanent set up will be metal pipe welded to a flange to bolt directly on the head turned back with a rubber boot to connect the carb, then run through the snorkle. i am going to install a fuel tank above the carb where the factory air box was, since no room is left for the filter box, the air filter will go on the top of the snorkle and covered to protect it from excess water and mud it runs very smooth, only problem is that right now i have to keep the choke cable pulled out, the carb needs to be rebuilt and oversize jets put in, it come off of a honda rancher 350 4x4, it needed to be rebuilt before the engine finally gave out on the honda, if it runs it that good with a bad carb in desperate need of a rebuild, i know its going to run great soon as i rebuild and jet it this 4wheeler has run more today than it has in the last 2 years. this thing was enough to make you hate suzuki, its made several mechanics, shops, and the suzuki dealer all pull their hair out and finally say come get it, everything else had been tried at least once, i figured it was time to try some old school on it, im honestly a lil surprised that it actually worked, its in saucier ms, gonna be finished right an on the trails by day after tomorrow
  20. also from what i have been reading the fuel system is notorious for giving you fits on these bikes, if its that much trouble then just do away with it, the only thing that changed is the fi light on the dash is flashing now, cause the throttle body is not hooked up
  21. why did i remove the fuel injection? it has not run right in 2 years, the original owner took it to suzuki dealer, and to another local cycle shop, has had at least 8 different mechanics work on it, before he finally got fed up with it and told me if i can crank it i can have it, there has been almost 2 thousand dollars sunk into the fuel system to try and fix it, i am not going to have a 4wheeler that is not dependable, i dont trust computerized fuel injection on the trails i ride, the less electronics the better, i put the carb on it, it fired right up, runs great, just gotta rejet the carb so it can dump enough fuel for this engine, it has run longer today than it has in the last year, sounds to me like it was the right thing to do, i am not made of money, i just plain cant afford to keep working on the electronics
  22. well guys, the retrofit worked great, removed the computerized throttle body from my bike and replaced it with a carb off of one of my hondas , its not quite right yet, the carb does not put out quite enough fuel, going to the cycle shop tomorrow to get oversize jets for it. as it is right now with no where near enough fuel i was able to ride it around my neighborhood, got it up to 35mph, it runs smooth as a dream, anyone with one of these 4wheelers having fuel issues feel free to msg me for more details on the retrofit:yes:
