Hello,

I own a small farm in north central Missouri. I mainly ride my 02 Grizzly 660, which is pretty much stock right now but will be getting some upgrades. It does have a 3500 lb. winch and heated grips. I also have an 87 Big Bear 400 that I use for fencing and other chores around my farm, its also for visitors to ride.

Welcome! It’s always nice when there is a spare quad for friends to ride 😁

Greetings from South Central Ontario Canada!  I play, ride and 'work' (retired) on 3 acres of bush north of Huntsville, not far from Algonquin Park.  Its nice to see this is an international community.

New to the site and new to quads in general!  Been a automotive line technician for a couple years but recently started working on atvs! Been loving it. Have a 95 Polaris 300 2x4 a 2005 Chinese 90cc 2 stroke and a 85 Yamaha moto 4 200. Bought them all cheap and not running. Was able to get them all running but currently have the Yamaha torn down for a top end rebuild ( waiting on parts) and the 90 torn down for painting and the exhaust burnt/broke so need to find or weld a new pipe for her.  Trying to make my 10 posts so I can download some manuals

oh I’m from brightwood Oregon but the way it’s about 60 miles east of Portland. Love living in the stix

Yep, new to the site and quads in general.  Have an 01 polaris 500 that I am working on.  Feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this project, but I keep finding things which were neglected and in my opinion should be taken care of.  Rather do it now then during hunting season.

2008 400 big bear was running now will not start
have power to relay, in neutral, press start have power to starter but nothing happens starter does not turn
i have good ground at battery to frame and added ground from wire harness to frame beside batter/ frame ground
blue white wire to cdi has power with key on
I believe the neutral lock out is working since is was before i shut it down
if i put  it in gear and hit the start button with key on the relay does not click or send power the starter
The 3 wires at the relay have power with key on
      What should i test next?

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Let's say 3-5 years from now.
