Interesting statue, whats the story on that.

There have been movies about the Moth  Man.  But he appeared throughout the area back in the 1960's.  Scaring people along the Ohio River from Taylor County, West Virginia down to Point Pleasant, WV.  The Taylor County Sherriff formed an 80 man horseback posy back in the Mid 60's to hunt him down. 

The area in Taylor County  is the Tygart River that feeds water to the Ohio River.  The Valley Falls SP is there. The Indians called those falls " The Evil Spirt Falls"!   That area and to the south was taboo to the Indians. 

The sitings stopped with the Silver Bridge collapse at Point Pleasant WV that killed about 50 people.  Many people claimed the Moth Man was there at the collapse.  Point Pleasant is home of the Moth Man Museum.  Towns along the area have summer Moth Man Festivals.

BTW...to this day sadly, the Evil Spirt Falls records multiple drownings every year.

GOOOd Morniing Pahrump, NV  Great winery...Pahrump is Paiute Indian for Water form Rocks as the area that looks like a desert is full of Artesian wells

What a story, i dont know how i missed that. After your post i read up on it. One interesting point from several accounts was that MEN IN BLACK guys showed up shortly after the sightings, the witnesses said they had translucent pale skin and talked like robots, and shortly after that he was never seen again. Another one i read was that CHIEF CORNSTALK who was a peaceful indian from the late 1700s put a curse on the area because he was killed for not taking sides against the red coats.

Gooood   Morrrrning Everglades 🐉🐍Florida !!! Today is the start of the Python Challenge!!!!!  Invasive reptile hunt.  Hey! watch out for Nile Monitors also.

BTW ..An Alligator wrestler from Gatorland was asked if he was going to hunt the Burmese Pythons and constrictors in the Everglades, He replied he was not that stupid!
