Buongiorno a tutti, ho un Raptor 660, e oggi alla prima accensione, il quad resta accelerato. Sapreste dirmi quale potrebbe essere la causa?
grazie a tutti in anticipo....

Purchased a 2008 Yamaha Raptor 250 for my son about 1 year ago and have been having problems with the starting system ever since.
Since owning for one year we have gone thru 2 starters and 2 starter gears. Now its spring 2019 and time for a third replacement. Am starting to think that we may have a more serious issue.
Upon replacing, the starter and starter gear, its starts fine, then after about 10 starts, you start to hear a bit of grinding. The grinding slowly gets worse until the teeth on the starter and the starter gear become trashed.
I've heard possible solutions from the starter clutch needing replaced to the casing for the starter gear shaft being out of spec?
I've also noticed that here is no difference or change if its in gear or not.
I just replaced the trans clutch as well.
Any suggestions?

so I bought this raptor from my bubby because it sat in his garage for a year or suck long story short the guy who lost worked on it didn't know what he was doing can just did some of the worst work I've ever laid my eyes on but I recently had the thing running and delt with a lot of problems getting the damn thing to spark need new stator/ cdi and wiring harness and I had finally got the thing to run and drive had a blast omg I love this thing but sometimes I pray it would just stop giving me problems I've road the quad 2-3 time and found there was a huge leak and I took the head off its new btw its black and shiny but the last guy who worked on it did a horrible job and lost parts any ways I fix his mistake and bought oem parts and gaskets but when I when to put the piston back in I could not find a good thread on the orientation on all the rings on the piston and it is a bit confusing how people describe each ring I need a layman's terms like talk to me like I'm slow lol but don't be rude and I need help 1 in the orientation on all the rings and also my engine stopped sucking threw the carb can it be the valve is not seated on intake/exhaust should I reopen the head and redo the rings on the piston or can it be the valve spring gap idk I need help all I know right know is I need a break from the bike and collect information for now can I get some help without people pointing me in all kinds of direction

Hi, I am new to the forum I bought a 2006 raptor 350 I test drove it. It ran decent but thought it was just due to the cold, after I got at home I rode it around and it would just die out/ lose power upon letting off from heavy acceleration or down shifting, it will just lose power and die out, I took carburetor apart cleaned it pretty well, it ran a little better at first then 1 minute into test ride she died again. Now I’m back to my shop and try to start it again and I’m left with a crazy slapping clicking noise I’ve never heard before. Let me know if you have heard this or know of the answer to my problems thanks !

hello I have a 2004 Yamaha Raptor 600. it sat in storage for 2 years and I recently pulled it out to ride and it didn't start. I replaced almost every part on it, got it to start but a wire burnt out on it. i paid a few guys to help me fix it and its still not fixed. its been almost a year and i'm lost. This is how they left my bike, and i'm willing to fix it myself now because i have spent too much money paying to get it fixed!!!
