So now this "new to me" Kowhockey has ANOTHER problem. Replacing the rectifier cured the charging problem, rode around for a while, Yahoo!.. but this morning it wouldn't start, hmm 🤔 checking for spark, nuttin.. CDI igniter module bad. It's not the coil because when the key is turned off the spark knocks me down. Glad I got this old quad cheap because I'm replacing lots of electrical parts. Also found 3 blown fuses in the toolkit. 😭

I live in North Eastern Wa, in Collville, and I'm trying to figure out if there are any good regional used parts dealers around here- Our town had a decent Polaris dealer- but dealer prices are what to be expected these days.
I've got some random little pieces I'm looking for and tired of scrolling ebay (2003 Polaris Sportsman 700)
These are odds and ends stuff and I'll probably end up on ebay- but figured I'd ask.

Recently swapped a good top end with a bad drive output onto a engine with a bad top end but with a good drive output.
Engine 1 (bad drive output), top end was perfect and always ran good for me.
Engine 2 (good drive output), top end was toast but it has a output.
I swapped engine 1's top end onto engine 2. Didn't take the rings off all i did was everything from the piston to the valve cover. Sleeve, cylinder, valve system, cam, whole top end. Now that engine 1 is on engine 2 it runs good. Doesn't burn any oil, SOMETIMES.. i went on a fairly decent ride without burning a drop of oil then at one point i noticed i was burning it like a steam train. Drove off a bit more and it was like nothing happened?? It all happened on flat land. Im not overfull on oil. Any suggestions? The rings were untouched and are in their original cylinder. They did come out of the cylinder at one point.

I have looked at a few threads and most are several years old. I am looking at 2012 Honda rancher that only has a few hundred miles on it but the tires/battery are still original. I am guessing I will need a new set? The quad will be used on streets and rocky trails in PA. Any recommendation for brand, type and place to buy them. I know Amazon has them but am sometimes leery of what they sell. How easy to dismount and mount a new set? Any special tools or just let a shop do it?
